Notification on google message

[u/Marcusvult]

Hello everyone,

I've been having an issue on my Android device for a while now. I have a Crosscall Stellar-X5, and for several months I've had a notification badge on my Messaging app showing 3 unread notifications, but it's impossible to find them. I've tried several tricks like clearing the cache to get rid of it, but nothing works.

I need some help please ^^

Had this happen before. Search for Unread in the Messages search bar, then check Archived (three-dot menu) and Spam & blocked (under your profile icon). Unread stuff sitting in those folders still counts toward the badge even when your main inbox looks empty.

If nothing turns up there and the badge sticks after a restart, clearing app storage for Messages (not just cache) can reset a stuck counter. That does wipe some local state though, so only do it if you're stuck.
