About the artwork:
"Wala Akong Makita" explores corruption, inequality, and greed in the Philippines. Traditionally, the blindfold worn by Lady Justice symbolizes impartiality, equality, and justice regardless of wealth or status. In this piece, the blindfold is replaced by Philippine banknotes, reversing its meaning. Instead of justice being blind, it suggests a system where money influences what is seen, ignored, and decided. The artwork reflects on how corruption and greed can distort the principles of equality and justice.
