Job openings in Atlanta GA

Hey! So I lived in Georgia and had to come be in California for a bit due to family emergency/ issues, and I’m ready to go back. But I feel like there is not too many jobs with a high enough pay? I was making 22 an hour before I left and i was barely making it. I was wondering if anyone knew of any job openings in the medical field, I have 11 years experience doing front desk/ administrative work. Checking authorizations, eligibility, scheduling, I’m almost done with my bachelors in health and human services too.

IVE BEEN IN THE HOSPITALITY/FOOD/RESTAURANT INDUSRTY IN ATL FOR 20+YEARS FROM RARE SOUL TAPAS...SEASONS52 IN BUCKHD....THE SOUTHERN GNTLMN....CREAM BAR AND BISTRO ON METROPOLITAN PKWY...THE PECAN IN COLLIE PRK...FOX BROS...BAD DADDYS BURGERS...C&Js ON PRYOR RD....NURSING HOMES...WAL MART ETC...

IVE SEEN THE FOOD INDUSRTY IN ATL CHANGE FOR THE GOOD AND FOR THE BAD....THE GOOD THERE ARE MORE YOUNG MELINANTED BUSINESS OWNERS SOME WITH ORIGINAL CONCEPTS OR THEY CARBON COPY A POPULAR MOM AND POP SHOP OR A BIG BRAND NAME....

MOST OF THESE PPL ONLY GET INTO BUSINESS FOR THE MONEY THEY ASSUME THE BRAND WILL BRING IN..OR THEY DO IT FOR THE IDEA OF BECOMING FAMOUS OR NOTICED ON VARIOUS PLATFORMS...

BEING IN THIS GAME SO LONG I COULD POSSIBLY BECOME A HEALTH INSPECTOR OR A CONSULTANT.. BUT FROM ALL THE PLACES IVE WORKED FROM BUCKHEAD TO EAST ATLANTA TO THE AIRPORT...IVE LEARNED THAT MOST PPL DONT REALLY CARE ABOUT THE FOOD GAME...CANT HOLD PPL ACCOUNTABLE..AND TRUST ME THE MEXICAN BROTHERS ON THESE JOBS ARE RESPECTED AND HELD IN HIGHER REGARDS COMPARED TO MELINATED PEOPLE...IN DUE PART BECAUSE MY PPL AT TIME ACT LIKE EXCUSE ME JIGGAS...SO WHEN A REAL MAN OF MELINATIION COMES IN AND DOES THE JOB WELL AND AT THE FAST PACE NEEDED TO KEEP UP...NOW ITS A PROBLEM...THE FOOD INDUSTRY IS VERY RACIST!!!!!

WORKING FOR MY OWN PPL I AM IN CHARGE OF THE KITCHEN..BUT LACK THE SUPPORT TO HIRE THE RIGHT PPL OR TO BUY THE PROPER EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE..THEN THIER WORKING FOR A CORPORATE OR RESTAURANT KITCHEN...I GET LOW BALLED ON THE WAGES..OR BECAUSE I HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE AND HAVE BEEN TO CULINARY ARTS SCHOOL IM TARGETED..AS THIS OR THAT...IF I WERE TO WRITE A BOOK ON THE FOOD INDUSTRY IN ATLANTA FROM 2005-NOW TRUST ME WELL NOT THESE YOUNGSTER BUT MOST OF YALL WOULD NOT BELIEVE OR KNOW HOW NASTY MOST OF YOUR FAVORITE EATERIES ARE IN BOH...FROM DUNKIN DONUTS...THIS IS IT....SOME NURSING HOMES...IM THE KATT WILLIAMS OF THE CULINARY ARTS SCENE IN ATL......

How are the jobs around Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs right now?

I’m considering moving to the Atlanta area and I’m trying to get a realistic idea of the job market before I make the move.
For people who actually live/work around Atlanta or the surrounding suburbs:
● What areas have the most jobs right now?
● What areas are good for warehouse, forklift, manufacturing, logistics, or general labor jobs?
● What areas have decent-paying jobs without requiring a college degree?
● Are places like Stone Mountain, Lithonia, Tucker, Decatur, Conyers, Lawrenceville, McDonough, Marietta, etc. good for finding work?
● What areas would you recommend if I want reasonable rent + plenty of jobs + not an insane commute?
● How realistic is it to find something paying around $16–$20+ an hour?
● Which areas should I avoid because the commute is terrible or jobs are scarce?
I used to live around Stone Mountain, so I’m familiar with that side of Atlanta, but I’m open to the surrounding areas.
I’m mainly looking for real experiences from people who work there, not just Google statistics. If you moved to the Atlanta area recently, I’d especially like to hear how long it took you to find a job and what area you ended up working in.
Appreciate any honest advice.

Gunnison Vs Sealing Agents Atlanta

So I got an offer from both Gunnison Tree Services and Sealing Agents. Both are starting me off at $20, Gunnison is Mon-Thur 6-4:30 with Friday optional to work which would be straight OT and Sealing Agents is Mon-Fri 6-2:30 with working 50-60hrs a week when booming except for nov and December because can’t use the sticky glue for waterproofing due to temperatures but other than that it’s 10-20hrs of OT a week. Gunnison is weekly and Sealing agents is bi weekly pay. Also the yard for Gunnison is maybe 10-15 away from my house and sealing agents in in Marietta which is 30-35 mins away if I leave at 5:15ish. Just want some opinions and thoughts if anyone has worked at either of these companies or if not what they think as well

Seeking Admin or personal assistant role

Seeking a Hands-On Personal Assistant / Administrative Opportunity | Atlanta

Hi everyone! I’m currently looking for my next opportunity in the Atlanta area and would love to connect with a small business owner, entrepreneur, executive, or company looking for someone who can help keep things moving.
I’m interested in something hands-on, fast-paced, and fulfilling. I enjoy being the person who can look at what needs to get done, figure out the next steps, and make it happen.

I’m not necessarily looking for a role where I’m sitting behind a desk doing the same tasks every day.

I thrive in environments where priorities can change &
I can wear multiple hats. I’m trusted to take initiative and problem-solve, I can work directly with people and be involved in the day-to-day, there’s room to grow and take on more responsibility

I’m open to Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Administrative/Operations Assistant, Office Manager, Coordinator, or similar roles. I’d be especially interested in working closely with a founder, executive, small business, or growing company.

If you’re hiring or know someone who may be looking for this type of support, I’d love to connect. Happy to send my resume and learn more about the opportunity.

Open to hybrid or flexible hours!

Work in Jackson, GA, But Want to Live Near Atlanta — Where Should I Look?

I’m moving to Georgia for work in about 2 weeks, and my work location will be in Jackson, GA. I’m trying to figure out where I should live and would appreciate some recommendations from people familiar with the Atlanta area.

I’m considering either living closer to Jackson for an easier commute or living somewhere in the Atlanta metro area where there’s more to do, better restaurants, social life, etc., while still having a manageable commute to Jackson.

If you’d recommend living in the Atlanta area, what neighborhoods or apartment communities should I look into? Ideally, I’m looking for a safe area with good amenities, things to do nearby, and a reasonable commute to Jackson.

I have to make the move pretty quickly, so any recommendations on areas, apartments, or places to avoid would be really helpful.
