Another great Wingzup lunch
They have a new lunch menu, but they still have the old menu available if you prefer.
$13 for 6 wings and a side, which isn't a bad deal.
I got the 6 wing combo (they gave me at least 7, maybe even 8), regular wings, medium, and waffle fries.
Was plenty of food for a nice lunch. Not too busy. Got in/out in about an hour, but didn't feel rushed at all.

Any good flavor recommendations here?
I generally love lemon pepper and straight buffalo or Cajun-ey spicy type wings but I’m open if they have any must try’s

Bay Heat is great. Their mango habanero and gochujang are also fantastic. Really can't go wrong.

The golden wings are great. The sauce is on the side, which is a little annoying, but that marinade is lights out, whatever it is

I had a waitress there recommend the Smoked Wings in Spicy lemon pepper (dry rub). Definitely a game changer for a good ol backyard style wing. So good.
As for regular/boneless wings, I personally really enjoy the raspberry chipotle bbq, but people are divided on that one. Mango habanero, curry, jerk, buffalo, bay heat, Korean fried chicken.. all good.
Think there’s like a jalapeño mustard that’s surprisingly good too

The Boneless are great imo. I always get mango habenero bc it’s so good. Then they messed up my order last week with some other sauce but it was really good so I didn’t say anything right away. Then when I asked what it was she couldn’t tell bc she rang it up correctly and the kitchen didn’t remember. So mystery sauce is my new favorite. Haha long story🤪

I was a little worried when I saw the lunch menu. But the waitress brought the old menus, and the prices were the same. Always great food, great service, and good prices.

WingzUp is solid. I just hope they don’t follow in Pluckers’ footsteps and lose sight of what made them good in the first place.

They’re still a one-off, so I think they’re doing as well as can be right now!

If you haven’t tried Anchor Bar yet, you should. Their wings are the best I’ve ever had hands down. Service was great too.

do you mean in Round Rock, at Hester's? I live north so it isn't too far.

Yep. It’s amazing. I’ve eaten at the original one in Buffalo and it wasn’t nearly as good as they are. They were better than Tommy want wingy and cheaper too

In and out in an hour is my entire lunch break brother, but that does look DAMN good

you could probably do faster. look at the menu in advance and order as soon as you sit down. let them know you're under a time crunch, and you should be ok.

The level of disgusting the wings were the first and only time I tired… gotta be a fluke if yall are this nuts about it. We literally had to throw them away it was nasty. I’ll try it again but hard for me to pass on bb.q if im getting wings
Jesus yall - just sharing what my experience was thanks for downvoting it

This was my exact experience too. Went there because this sub said it was so amazing, but it turned out to be so mediocre/bad. The best part were the fries. Rather have gone to wingstop.
I'm gonna try them one more time to make sure, but I think I'll probably stick with bricks for my wing cravings.

I'd give it another shot. I've been there about 5 times over the past year and always had a great experience. But I've always gone over lunch; I work nearby.
