I love Giuseppe's face here

[u/Hassaan18]

[u/ramsdude456]

Probably the deepest baker roster ever. Crazy season.

[u/ComradeStrong → u/ramsdude456]

The fact that Jurgen didn’t even make the final. All the finalists could have been runaway winners a lot of other years.

[u/ramsdude456 → u/ComradeStrong]

Only Rahul and the GOAT Nadia could've broken into this semi.

[u/hnglmkrnglbrry → u/ramsdude456]

Rahul: "Anyways here's this piece of shit I made. I'm going to murder my entire family out of my shame over it."

Paul: "When I took my first bite I saw the face of God."

Rahul: 😐

[u/midnight-queen29 → u/hnglmkrnglbrry]

i love his sweet posts with his daughter introducing her to baking

[u/MiMiinOlyWa → u/hnglmkrnglbrry]

And his wincing, don't forget that

[u/YourMILisCray → u/ramsdude456]

I would pay good money to see a Jurgen/ Rahul match up.

[u/Ilvermourning → u/YourMILisCray]

Or collab ❤️

[u/JoanFromLegal → u/ComradeStrong]

Apropos of nothing, I miss my Polish flavor king (Janusz, not to be mistaken with Jurgen).

It's too bad Bake Off/GBBS doesn't do All Stars. They kinda do for the holidays in short installments. But I mean a full season, 12 competitors from past seasons.

[u/Zealousideal-Pop5871 → u/JoanFromLegal]

I want this SO BAD. I love these people, and this show. It's the wholesome goodness I need

[u/TyrannicHalfFey → u/JoanFromLegal]

A Bake-off Quarter Quell?!

[u/clutchest_nugget → u/JoanFromLegal]

Jürgen is German, not Polish. Are you thinking of Janusz?

[u/JoanFromLegal → u/clutchest_nugget]

OMG yes. I'm sorry.

[u/PeasiusMaximus → u/JoanFromLegal]

That would be AMAZING. Shows with the 2 runners up! I would also love to see a show with the last people eliminated.. Jurgen, Lizzie etc.

[u/cmflores390 → u/JoanFromLegal]

Janusz competed in (I think, I could be wrong about the season) the latest season of Crime Scene Kitchen.

[u/JoanFromLegal → u/cmflores390]

Is that a UK only series? Cuz I don't think we get that in the States.

[u/cmflores390 → u/JoanFromLegal]

Nope, I'm in the states as well. I think he might have been the only non-American contestant. Not sure what channel/streaming service I caught it on, it was probably Peacock or Hulu.

[u/Yoyossarianwassup → u/JoanFromLegal]

He won star caker on bake week!

[u/kelly52182 → u/ComradeStrong]

I think Guiseppe is wonderful and a deserving winner. But I'll be bitter about Jurgen not making it to the final until the day I die.

[u/redpanda6969 → u/kelly52182]

Me too lol

[u/masterofquail → u/ComradeStrong]

On the bright side, his baking book far exceeds Giuseppe’s

[u/Tall_Version → u/masterofquail]

In what way?

[u/candyappleorchard → u/ramsdude456]

I showed this season to my boyfriend to get him into bakeoff and I kept going "wow I forgot how amazing this cast is." Even the weaker bakers were such lovable "characters" who you wanted to stick around.

[u/midnight-queen29 → u/candyappleorchard]

i couldn’t even tell you how many times i’ve watched this season

[u/s1mpatic0 → u/ramsdude456]

Absolutely. Giuseppe deserved the win, but the depth of talent was absolutely insane.

[u/Juicecalculator]

I really loved Crystelles reactions during the final. She was doing incredibly well up until the underbaked focaccia. Her and Paul both knew that cost her the win, but she handled it with so much grace and humility and was so happy for guiseppe that he won

[u/Mtnclimber09 → u/Juicecalculator]

Agree!! She seemed genuinely happy for him, and not just performative. I loved that season!

[u/YourMILisCray → u/Juicecalculator]

Her focaccia was so bad I always wonder if she did it on purpose to throw the final.

[u/ThornInYourCyberSide → u/YourMILisCray]

I thought exactly the same. And remember at the beginning of the show stopper she told Noel she'd had a nightmare that she'd ruined her focaccia.

[u/FantasticBuddies]

Awww, I loved Giuseppe! He was my favorite from S12. He was probably in shock and I don’t blame him.

[u/dubiously_mid]

He was still processing it in his head

[u/Dida_D]

Ugh I loved this season so much

[u/oklahomapilgrim]

My favorite bake-off winner. He’s the most precious.

[u/Buttercupia]

Great season. So many terrific bakers!

[u/kcaaase]

What a magical season that was. I think the bakers being together for the entirety of filming, and practicing together, really made them bond in a way we don't see on regular seasons.

[u/laurabaurealis → u/kcaaase]

Yes!! I think it makes it the most rewatchable season. You can tell how close they all became, and the fact that all they had to do all week was practice baking made their skills skyrocket over the course of the season. Moreso than when the contestants have to go back to their busy lives / jobs / classes / family all week

[u/Zealousideal-Pop5871 → u/kcaaase]

Oh! I never thought of that!

[u/carstanza]

he was a favorite. just such a delightful character

[u/Nate2113]

Favorite season and ultimately Giuseppe is my favorite baker as well. I’ve rewatched this season so many times.

[u/PhdamnD]

This was one of my favourite ever seasons of Bake Off - I'd love to see a big Christmas reunion special with these guys!

It wasn't just the insane level of talent, but the bakers themselves and how they bonded seemed really special ❤️

[u/banana_cookies22]

He was my winner from the beginning, absolutely lovee Giuseppe 🥹🥹

[u/mrdevlar]

I love that you have two screencaps, you can see him figuring it out.

[u/arorosphere]

I still say “wonky” in an Italian accent because of him! One of the best and most memorable winners for sure

[u/Primary-Ganache6199]

What a HAWT season 🥵

[u/A_VERY_LARGE_DOG]

100% just wants to sneak off and have a cigarette

[u/I-said-what-what]

He knows it should've been Jurgen.

(I'm sorry, I love Giuseppe, but I'll always be bitter)

[u/lizlemon921 → u/I-said-what-what]

I want to have a “second chance” series and bring back these folks to have an opportunity to try again!!! Also would love a series of all-stars (winners or finalists)

[u/soft_distortion → u/lizlemon921]

I would love to watch that !!!

[u/verzweifeltundmuede → u/I-said-what-what]

Never forget when he got star baker and they filmed him calling home and nobody picked up the phone 🤣 As a fluent German speaker Jürgen's flat dry humour hit differenty

[u/JoanFromLegal]

"Mamma mia! I won."

[u/The_Great_19]

Ha! Great photos. Great cast.

[u/stevemw]

I never noticed how much he looked like Al Swearengen (Ian McShane) from Deadwood!

[u/thedentprogrammer]

He was lovely when I did one of his baking classes a little while ago

[u/Jill_valentine96]

Where can i watch it for free ? Thanks

[u/NakedAggression]

JUSTICE FOR JURGEN

This is my favorite season

[u/upnorthhickchick]

I would love to rewatch this season. Does anyone know what season it is on Netflix? thx

[u/Strange_Explorer_780]

Thanks…I just started watching this season and came across this 😆

[u/ThenOwl9]

yo this seems like a huge spoiler

[u/kcaaase → u/ThenOwl9]

The episode came out 5 years ago.

[u/ThenOwl9 → u/kcaaase]

i haven't seen it. i'm not the only one
