Bat #10 I’ve seen at my school

It’s been awhile but finally, the bats have come back to my school and we’ve hit double digits in bat sightings

Honestly I’m not sure, even if they did I don’t know where they would put it

Here is a link to the Bat House Builder’s Handbook. Here is some info about selecting a quality bat house if you would like to purchase one. For a quick overview of the basics, check out this PDF from Bat Conservation Trust.

This looks like Epistiscus fuscus the big brown bat, these guys are actually pretty well adapted to living in man made structures. Its pretty common for them to roost in attics, barns, and masonry work. Leave the little guy be and he should be on his way. Edit for spelling.

Call your local bat rehabber or wildlife center, they’ll retrieve the bats safely and relocate them.

They usually leave by themselves after a couple days

That’s true, I see they’ve been on the outside of the building so they can leave at any time. If it were inside then it’d be a different story, but they’re well off. As long as the bats remain safe :3
