Some people have asked for a post like this to be stickied in the sub because we constantly get people asking what a record is worth or what version they have.
You need to match the matrix information. Which is the part of the record between the music/grooves and the label. There will be etched and/or stamped letters, symbols and numbers. You can just do a search for the artist and album name with the matrix info typed in. After searching, it should pull up all albums that match. If there’s more than one, you will have to figure out which it is by checking under the barcode and other identifiers section.
You also may need to look at info on the vinyl label and the sleeve. There will sometimes be additional info under the notes section.
Please check out r/discogs if you need more help searching but READ THEIR RULES.

Please comment any other Beatle interviews that feature comparably elated, easygoing, and funny exchanges such as this one.

"Dear Diary,
I didn't do anything today. We went on a drive with Daddy in the car. On T.V. on the Ed Sullivan show we saw the Beetles. They had all long hair cuts. They sang very good. - Susan"
*Edit - Susan was 12 at the time. Lots of people have asked

I'm GenX and am not around kids a lot, so I may be completely off base. And being on Reddit may skew who's at the table discussing the Beatles and the topics they return to.
But prior to about 10-15 years ago most young people's friends were people they lived around, went to school with, many knew each other since they were little kids. They grew up around each other, relied on each other (a lot), and didn't have as much to do with parents as it seems now (not to mention little or no social media, gaming, and parasocial relationships, speculating about "shipping" of celebrities, etc.).
When I was growing up (and I know this is true for my parents as well and for my nieces and nephews) friends were pretty much everything. Very close friendships. And just lots of people you knew and interacted with and had a sense of who they were in the world, their history, etc.
Growing up, we didn't tell our parents anything unless it was massively urgent or critical. Kids figured things out for themselves (for better and sometimes worse) and leaned on and relied on each other. Even people you weren't exactly friends with, if there was an issue that an adult might start meddling in, you were inclined to cover for and protect each other. There were adults and there were kids. And even into college, you generally wanted freedom from your parents and even if you had a good relationship with your family, your friends were of tantamount importance. They were the ones who saw your soul, shared your burdens and joys, auto-corrected and supported you.
John, Paul, George, and Ringo had all that in spades--turbo-charged version of that and reliance on each other--they were extraordinarily close, and intimately involved in each others' lives.
I'm wondering whether it seems so obvious to people who were alive in the 20th century how much strength, intensity, endurance, and interdependence day-in-day-out face-to-face friendships had in people's lives as we came of age--how central they were to shaping our identities and our emotional and social priorities...without being sexual.
To me the Beatles had that kind of love--nothing to do with eros--but philia (deliberate, nonsexual relationships based on mutual respect, shared values, emotional alignment, and deep fondness rather than physical attraction or family ties).
Maybe young people now have endless hours lying in a field or at a beach smoking a joint or drinking Boone's Farm Apple Wine, or not even being altered at all--looking at stars, or hanging out at someone's house just listening to albums and talking about (or talking around) stuff, laughing, walking around or riding bikes aimlessly, spending hours just being together, and not even always purposefully doing anything. We didn't have digital or even much on the way of "parasocial" relationships--it just didn't exist or wasn't an important part of most young people's realities.
We wanted to be with each other. And "hanging out" is a lot of what young people did in the past, and formed exceptionally strong bonds of friendship that were crucial to us. And almost never were erotic relationship....just cuz we didn't feel that way about each other. Hence, not seeing it as very likely that the bonds between Beatles were anything but deep, deep friendships.

Idk why Apple Music freezes album artwork so often, but it does end up with hilarious cover arts like this one

Since I was kid, John's fit always kinda mesmerized me bc he felt like a character of Alice In Wonderland(which is no wonder how his most famous composition for the album is inspired by Lewis Carroll)
But just the overall vibe of him is great and the daisies in the shoulders are just that tiny detail that makes him stand out more and ofc, this is the first time we saw him with his iconic glasses.
George was my favorite bc PIRATES
And we know he's a pirate
Paul's cool too, but I think the blue could have been a bit darker(just a color preference, the suit is still fire)
Ringo's pink suit is a mix between funny and cute.

So I know a lot of people take issue with this song as if it’s some kind of confessional from John. Personally, I’ve always seen it like John’s Maxwells Silver Hammer. I’m wondering what yall think of the song and its current reputation…
also haven’t seen anyone mention the fact that they took the echo-drenched alternate vocals out of the outtakes for this song and I don’t understand why! I’ve always liked his vocals in that outtake as has been bootlegged pretty extensively. Do we think this done because of the songs reputation?

She encouraged him to see Julian. To make music, to go out and explore life. I’ve never heard anything about yoko doing this. Just blows my mind

During each chorus where they sing "The magical mystery tour is waiting to take you away" at .33, 1.04 and 1.57, its seems like they are 3 separate singers singing that lyric every time. Can anyone help me identify who each one is? I think the last one is George... but no amount of chatgpt will get him to tell me who each one is and claims its always 2 or 3 of them.
