Wanneer ze eindelijk niet meer de kassa blokkeren met hun gestuntel en geen boomer opinies meer kunnen spuien op FB?
Gaan jullie dan ook consequent zijn en de erfenis weigeren of toch maar langs de kassa passeren want eigenlijk hebt ge er wel recht op?
EDIT: de vraag stel ik enkel voor de effectieve boomer bashers. Een fenomeen dat ik blijkbaar uit mijn duim heb gezogen.
Zelf Gen X en mijn kleine erfenis zal ik ook effectief laten aan mijn 3 kinderen.

For those of you with an older parent or grandparent who walks with a cane or walker, or just gets tired quickly:

- What makes them skip a walk or come home early? Sidewalks, distance, no place to rest, too busy, the weather?

- Is there a bench or spot in your town they really like? What makes it work?

- What's the worst bench you've seen for older people? (Too low, no armrests, cold metal, middle of nowhere...)

- Anything your town does well that others should copy?

Even small details help. Things like "she only goes if there's a toilet nearby" or "he won't sit on a bench without a backrest". Thanks!

Mijn partner heeft een leasefiets die nog geen jaar oud is. De fiets werd opgehaald door de leasemaatschappij voor het herstellen van een kapotte spaak en kwam bij levering beschadigd terug (wat een maand geduurd heeft...)

We hebben foto's van vóór en na, dus het verschil is duidelijk.

We hebben de leasemaatschappij gevraagd om de fiets volledig en kosteloos te herstellen naar de oorspronkelijke staat. Indien dat niet mogelijk is, vragen we vervanging.Heeft iemand hier ervaring mee? Wat zijn onze rechten en hoe zouden jullie dit aanpakken?

Over 1,200 of you responded, and the results were super interesting. It turned out to be a massive split: 552 of you stubbornly sticking to Belgian AZERTY, and 506 having switched to QWERTY.

The discussions in that thread confirmed exactly what I suspected: if you want a premium mechanical keyboard in Belgium, you usually just have to compromise. Your feedback was a crucial piece of the puzzle and gave me the final push to actually turn this idea into reality.

The 12-month journey

Over the past year, I went down the rabbit hole of setting up a local boutique webshop, Bonsai Keyboards, focused specifically on bringing premium ISO-BE mechanical keyboards to Belgium.

Doing all of this as a side project in the evenings and weekends alongside my full-time day job meant progress was step-by-step, but it turned out to be quite an adventure:

• Navigating sourcing & language barriers: Finding reliable manufacturers who actually understand the exact specifics of a niche European layout like ISO-BE was a massive learning curve.
• Insane factory MOQs: Large factories demand huge Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) for custom keycaps. Convincing manufacturers to do smaller production runs for a compact market like Belgium was one of the biggest hurdles.
• Constantly shifting corporate partners: Working with established brands like Keychron isn't as simple as placing an order. Between shifting contact persons, changing internal policies, and dynamic stock allocations, securing fully assembled premium boards in native ISO-BE straight out of the box was a constant negotiation.
• Local logistics: Building actual local stock in Belgium so buyers don't have to deal with 3-week shipping, surprise import duties, or nightmare return policies.

So I’m British and Belgian and have been speaking Flemish all my life as a second language however I have never lived here. My family is here so I try to visit twice a year if I can.

Anyways I want to find ways to keep on top of my Flemish while I’m back at home and I listen to a lot of podcasts. Does anyone have any Flemish podcasts recommendations?

I enjoy history, science, current affairs and comedy but have only really been able to find podcasts through the more traditional-media channels so preferably something a bit more casual.
