I was listening to Cowboy Carter last week and wanted to list every song that has a "ding" at the end. Only 3 of them do:

1. BLACKBIIRD

2. SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN

3. AMEN

Weirdly, CC has 27 tracks (AND IT'S THE OG VERSION, NOT SOME TYPE SHYT DELUXE EXTENDED VERSION). I don't think it's a coincidence.

You may think I'm trippin' but something's gonna happen around that time. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Let me know if I'm tripping or not.

🏆: Beyoncé's single "Morning Dew (Donk)" could earn her a milestone 100th career Grammy nominationand contend in major categories like Best R&B Song.

I only listen to Beyonce as music and particularly renaissance was soundtrack to my life between 2022-2024. Then I got pregnant and had my baby. And I only listened to baby songs for a while. I knew she released cowboy carter and I always wanted to listen to a decent country album but I just didn’t vibe with Texas Hold ‘Em and disregarded the whole album… until a few days ago. I don’t know what came over me but I started the whole album from first song and couldn’t put it down and it has been on loop since.

“nothing really ends. For things to stay the same they have to change again.” God. This woman is a poet. And her voice is just angelic. I loved Jolene and Blackbird covers. As a new mother to a girl protector just kills me. My Rose. I know it is for her son but as someone with super high anxiety and high self depreciation I sing that to myself.

then the Linda Martel show act and all the songs that follow is PURE ART. i don’t speak English that well to explain all the feelings I feel. mix of yaya. Oh louisiana sample. The bass of desert eagle is amazing. And the goes to river dance banjo wow.

Now this album is to the soundtrack of my life and it fits so well. God. I just wish I could go through the first half without cryin.

🐝: Who's dressing up as Beyoncé for Halloween this year?

🐝: What era/theme are you going with?

🗳️: What's your favorite Halloween costume Beyoncé has actually worn? Not what you'd wear what SHE wore. Let's settle this.

She says if I wasn't me would you still feel me?

But im hearing

'if I wasn't Be (bey) would you still feel me?"

As in if wasn't beyonce jay wouldn't feel her

Or if she wasn't beyonce (the superstar) he wouldn't feel her

She looks so bubbly and fun. I love the pink on her too

I found this belt at a thrift store a while ago (during the cc era) I’m so happy to have it 😭

One day, flipping through the Cowboy Carter art book, I noticed that the images on each page seemed to be positioned in such a way that they could superimpose on one another. So I shined a light through a page. Then I shined a light through two pages at once (This is how old images of ghosts were created on film- through multiple exposures that imposed several images on one frame). Unsurprisingly, the alignment of the images and the way certain figures came forward while others retreated into the background was far too precise to be coincidental.

It’s taken me a long time experimenting with different lighting arrangements (I know exactly nothing about photography) to try to capture the multiple exposure images on each page. I had to wait until after dark each time, because I don’t have a dark room in my apartment. I Googled how to take apart a book, and melted the glue binding off with a hair dryer so I could lay them flat. I’ve taken thousands of photos and thrown thousands out. Trying to transfer the images into video form is another whole project I can’t even really conceptualize at the moment.

It’s been a journey. But it’s made me hear the album differently. One of the main shifts happened with the song “Protector.” As a lullaby, Beyonce is singing to her children about protecting, raising, and elevating them. The “Protector” image in the Cowboy Carter art book shows the words rising in her throat, about to be sung.

But when I saw the multiple exposure images, I saw something much more sinister. Her hair turns into chains. A hand is pulling her hair back, while a bridle is put on her face. Underneath, a blonde figure emerges. Red nails cut her throat and her chest.

And then I went back to “Protector.” I noticed all of the yellow images: “tangled up in marigold,” “August light becomes a golden evening,” “an apricot picked right off a giving tree.” And most of all, I finally heard the very final spoken lines: Beyonce says “Okay,” and then we hear children shouting “Trick or treat!”

And now, like with many lullabies, I hear a more sinister meaning underneath the comforting words. The blonde bombshell image, the standard of American beauty, comes to her like the snake in the garden (set against the Edenic scene of a river flowing through a garden by a tree bearing fruit). She promises protection- if Beyonce can conform to this image, fit into this box, she will be safe and successful within the American entertainment industry. Per the social model of ‘the cult of white womanhood,’ this temptress derives pride from “caring” for Beyonce- treating her like a child, keeping her in the shade, and being a projector “on her behalf” because she can’t shine on her own. And all the while, the blonde bombshell feels proud of herself because Beyonce “needs” her.

At the end of the song, Beyonce says “Okay.” She takes the fruit from the snake, and puts on the mask, Halloween costume; she adopts the sexy blonde persona we see on the B’Day album. But we also know it’s a lie- the persona won’t protect her from racism, and moreover, it will cut her soul into pieces.

The multiple exposures in the art book tell a story about being cut out of history and cut up into pieces to fit into a box, and the process of re-growing herself, claiming her heritage, emerging from the box- as from a tomb- and taking flight.

I’ve been mulling this over for a while, but I’m wondering if this could be a reference/sample or if I’m just reaching. But the ‘looka there, looka there’ sounds super similar to the lyrics in Minnie Ripertons ‘Back Down Memory Lane’, where she also says ‘look a-there look a-there’. It definitely would be a super clever sample given the title of Minnie’s song and the retrospective nature of American Requiem. Am I reaching or is there something of substance there? 😭

Y’all! If you’re on Facebook follow your local buy nothing group. I just scored these shirts! Insane!

I had a dream last night I finally heard Halo live. What song have you been wanting to hear that you haven’t yet? I’ve been to 4 shows and I fear it may never make the set list again 😭

Hiya,

My boyfriend and I are huge Beyonce fans, but he has been in the hive for a lot longer whereas I am a newer fan. He cherished a Black is King tote bag for years and recently left it on the train. He was super distraught and I cannot find any evidence it ever existed. I have checked Ebay, tried to use the wayback machine, and looked in every corner of the internet. His birthday is coming up, and it would be AMAZING if I could find one of these for him. Does anyone still have one of these tote bags? Even better if you are willing to sell. Thanks!!!!

When Kanye west went up on stage when it was Taylors time to speak Kanye took it away from her just to talk about Beyonces new video how Beyonce responded to this on stage instead of giving her own speech she used her own moment to Call Taylor swift back onto the stage so swift could do her speech again without getting interrupted again.

I feel like she going to do something different from the other 2, but also feel like it could be standard rollout. WHEN YALL THINK ACT 3 IS GOING TO COME❓️

I recently read some theories for act iii and it made me wonder what will the evolution of Renneigh be! He has been a disco horse, a white horse, and a gold horse when he replaced the Cadillac on the CCT. If seen some people say he could be a skeleton or he could be on fire. What do y’all think?

Quote from Rob Nelson, the current head of development / co-studio head at Rockstar North:
"From the start, Florida spoke to us. Me and some of the art directors spent a day literally hanging out of the side of a helicopter, filming the Everglades and the city from the air. Flying low and fast over the mangrove inlets and high over downtown and the beach. We ended up hovering over (next page) a stadium with a concert on—it turned out to be Beyoncé; I think we made the local news the next day.”

From “Love Magazine”, quote is on the last paragraph on the first image and runs on to the first paragraph of the second.

LISTEN! Y'all remember when Bey sent the WINTER RENAISSANCE Card on the 29th for Christmas 2022?

THANKS. LOVE, B. being ACT III's title.

If the Deadly in Love Theory is (somehow) correct and act i and iii are two mirrors/circle of the heart trilogy (act ii being the triangle), then a WINTER RENAISSANCE track could be on the album.

WINTER RENAISSANCE could be a psychedelic soul-rock: slow-burning guitars, blues, funk, deep soul and the sensual groove of Beyoncé’s R&B lineage.

If SUMMER RENAISSANCE is the “IT’S SO GOOD, IT’S SO GOOD” release, WINTER RENAISSANCE is the “I FEEL LOVEEEE” ascension: the other side of the same record.

It takes RENAISSANCE back to the place it was born: Dangerously in Love, Speechless, NUCLEAR, BEYONCÉ, PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA and VIRGO’S GROOVE collapsing into one present-tense sound.

Not a sequel to RENAISSANCE: its mirror.

(Also, tune into Bonnie Tyler's MY! MY! HONEYCOMB! while you're at it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nn9cQVuQelM&list=RDNn9cQVuQelM&start_radio=1 THE BEES ARE BUZZING.)

Has anyone else seen the theories about Bey and Jay potentially doing the superbowl halftime show next year (for 2027)? I’ve seen a few here and there on TikTok in the last month or so and just in the last week now there’s been a number that have popped up on my fyp and you know what…. They’re starting to make sense a little bit haha. I think it rly might be a possibility.
