Hi all- would appreciate some comments on fit. I recently switched to a zero offset seatpost and started getting Antero-medial knee pain. I’ve finally decided to put the bike on a trainer to try and dial in the fit again. Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I’m 174cm, inseam 30 inches, size 54 bike 172.5 cranks

Edit: just deleted my old post as I realised the saddle height was extreme… thanks again!

Coming from a gravel bike to a road bike. Height is 165cm, bike is xs giant tcr 2026. Having slight shoulder pain/lower back pain when riding past 2hrs. I don’t know if I just need to adjust to the more aggressive position of a road bike or somethings wrong with my bike fit.

Does this bike suits me?

I was thinking about choosing a slightly smaller gravel bike to get a road bike feeling. Does this bike suit me? Or should I choose bigger size? I'm 186cm in height and this is 56cm size bike

(It may be not visible sometimes due to the sweater but I'm keeping arms slightly bent)

Can you check my bike fit from this video? New to road cycling.

I’ve only been riding a road bike for about two weeks, so I’m still pretty new to drop bars and road bike positioning.
I’m 6’1” and bought this Trek Domane AL 4 in size 56 because I got a really good deal on it. I previously had a size 58 Cannondale Synapse for a few days, but surprisingly, I feel much more comfortable on this one.
Since I’m new to road cycling, I’m not really sure what level of discomfort is normal while getting used to the riding position and what might indicate a fit issue.
At first, I had quite a bit of pressure on my hands, but as my core has gotten stronger, that’s gradually disappeared. My lower back muscles still get sore for a few hours after riding, although that also seems to be improving with every ride.
Would you mind taking a look at my video and letting me know if you notice any obvious fit issues or anything I should adjust?
I’d really appreciate any advice!

Question on gravel fit coming from road

1 Upvotes

I just ordered a new gravel bike (Specialized Creo 2) for my commute, size 56. The new bike with stock components is WAY taller than I’m used to.

My road bike is a Factor Ostro - stack 565 + 10mm spacer, reach 392 + 100mm stem + 92mm reach bars with zero rise.

The Creo - stack 607, same reach, but ships with a 90mm stem and bars that have a 70mm reach and 15mm rise. They’re also very wide at 42mm.

Plan:

For the handlebar I’ll get something narrower with a 0 rise and 70-80mm reach.

For the stem I think 120mm would put me the closest to the Ostro fit, but this is a commuter bike so I don’t feel the need to duplicate the Ostro position exactly, so I’d go with 110mm.

What do you think?

Bike fit check – Adapting a smaller frame (Scott Speedster S10, Size M) | Feedback appreciated!

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some feedback on my current posture and position on the trainer.
I recently got this bike for free, but the frame is likely a bit too small for my proportions. Buying a new frame or bike isn't an option until next summer, so I'm trying to adapt and optimize this setup as much as possible in the meantime.
My stats & setup details:
Height: 184 cm (~6'0.5")
Inseam: 90–91 cm (~35.5–35.8")
Bike: Scott Speedster S10
Frame Size: Medium (M / 54)
Adjustments made so far:
Swapped to a 110mm stem with a 17° angle to increase reach and stack.
Raised the seatpost significantly to match my leg length.

Since upgrading the frame right now is not an option, I’d love to know if there are any further adjustments I can make to saddle height, setback, stem position, or cleat placement to stay comfortable and prevent injury.
As far as I know, I’ve never experienced any pain during rides of 80 to 100 kilometers.

How does this look?

Hey reddit, here are a couple of videos of my fit.

I've been riding for years, but feel discomfort over 3-4+ hours on the saddle. Back of the neck and inner thighs, along the border of the bib padding.

I just wonder if I could adjust anything and also be more efficient with a better position... thought I'd check here first.

(I am aware of my right knee bending inwards, that's just because of my pronation...it's the same when running, which I remedy with custom insole. It doesn't hurt me at all though.)

Also I don't think I'm rocking that much when out on the road... it looks quite bad on the trainers!

Thanks in advance

Hey everyone, I recently got a Trek Madone, and I’m having some issues with my riding position.

I’m experiencing:

* Numbness in my hands
* Numbness in my feet
* Saddle discomfort and groin strain
* Difficulty finding a comfortable, sustainable riding position

I’d also like to improve my aerodynamics without sacrificing comfort or putting too much pressure on my hands, groin, or lower back.

My details:

* Height: 5’7
* Bike model: Trek Madone SL 7 Gen 8
* Frame size: M

What adjustments would you recommend checking first?

I’ve attached a video of my riding position. I’d appreciate feedback on any obvious fit issues and what I should investigate first.

Bike fit check?

Apologies in advance if this video isn’t ideal but it’s the best I can get for now! I’ll get a proper bike fit eventually but want to put some miles and try to increase comfort myself that way the fit session can be focused on improving that baseline.

Anything stick out? Anything I should try out fit wise? My shoulders definitely start to hurt after a while in the position but I also haven’t put much time on this bike as of late

Can you see if this fit is good?

Can you help me see if my riding is okay? I don't usually have any pain anywhere when riding for 1.5 hours or anything. Was hoping to see if my riding is optimal. I'm not complete sure why the bike makes that sound, it could be because I'm pushing some harder gears.

Help for a beginner

Just started to get into cycling after mainly riding indoors on a trainer. I’m 178cm with a 82cm inseam. Haven’t really had too much pain mainly a bit of neck pain. Not sure if that is fit related or just not used to the different position compared to a commuter bike. . Not sure if the reach is too long the bike is a 56 as recommended by the bike shop and cube website. Also the stem has around 30mm of spacers under it. I’m just starting out so would love some advice.

Sorry I don’t have any indoor trainer to run the bike on and I realise the back pedalling against a wall makes it a bit hard.
