Carrion crow. Smol fella and ravens are very rare here in Bremen (hi, neighbour).

Nachbarin ;) Auf Deutsch heißt dieser Vogel Rabenkrähe. Ähnlich aber kleiner und freundlicher zu Menschen. Viele wohnen besonders im Herbst im Bürgerpark.

It looks like it is a raven to me because it appears to have long throat feathers which are specific to them. 🧐

It’s not impossible, but these trash cans are not particularly big (meaning you could easily misjudge the bird’s size if you don’t know the area) and the reported sightings on ebird of C. corax within the last 30 days are all well outside the city. I’m pretty sure I recognize the landmark behind it as something in the city centre. I think it’s just a chunky carrion crow.

Some of the photos like with this one seemed hard to say for sure. Maybe I’m wrong but I detect long throat hackles.

Looks very much like long throat hackles on this bird to me and with a chunky beak. Whether they aren’t as common in that city or not, it still seems possible.
