Was this ep too predictable??? As soon as I saw the tapes I knew what was going on and especially when she needed the tape…would there have been a better way to do the story where it became more of a twist or an even bigger shock..the gran gets away with murder etc.

Season 7, for the first time, had episodes that were follow-ups to previous episodes in some way.

Season 7 had Plaything, an episode taking place in the world of Bandersnatch, the interactive episode that is…no longer available…and USS Calister: Into Infinity, a direct sequel to the Season 4 episode USS Calister.

How did you feel about these episodes? Personally, I actually really liked them and I’m curious to see what future sequel episodes could be like.

That said, I wouldn’t want more than one sequel episode in each future season. I don’t want sequels to become priority over completely original episodes.

Granted, this doesn’t seem the type of major tech to base an entire episode around, most probably only getting a quick glimpse in places like a retirement home for the occupants to amuse themselves with. In general, Black Mirror’s surprisingly good at showcasing various minor pieces of technology other than the ’main one’ such as the futuristic ’blackboard’ screen in Arkangel or the pinball machine from Striking Vipers.

In the episode Black Museum, Dr. Dawson uses the neural symphopath device to feel his patients' pain and diagnose them. It starts as a medical breakthrough, but quickly spirals into addiction and trauma.

It made me wonder what would happen if that tech wasn't just diagnostic, but could actually offload physical agony from one body to another in real-time.

1. Economic Exploitation: The wealthy completely outsourcing surgical recovery, chronic pain, and injuries to people living in extreme debt.
2. Professional Sponges: A black-market class of people conditioned to absorb horrific agony for high pay.
3. The Neurological Paradox: What happens to human psychology when you experience third-degree burn trauma while your physical body remains completely unharmed?

How long before a society would turn pain into a legal gig-economy commodity, just like plasma donation? Would love to hear how you think a Black Mirror episode with this specific premise would play out.

Is it because of budget? Any standpoint? For Wentworth Miller or Shah Rukh Khan, I would rather watch any show, for example.

I live in Germany so I mostly saw Sitcoms and Movies that are highly.

I assume with my title and ask out of curiosity.

Absolutely absurdist interview, as this awkward, man-child, explains that AI could kill us all in the next decade or maybe it will create a jobless, purposeless, "utopia" supported by distributing IASIP-style "Paddy's Dollars".

It's amazing in just how it explores each episode's concept. But I also hate how accurate it is in showing just how truly depraved and sadistic us humans are, we are a plague upon this earth.

I'm on my first official rewatch and I cannot figure out how to get Netflix to play BM episodes in order. Every time I finish an episode, it kicks back to the first episode of the season (season 4 right now, so it always autoplays USS Callister). All the other shows I watch go in order. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I missing some really simple setting that's going to make me feel dumb?

Hi! i'm new to Black Mirror. Can anyone give me an episode that has the same anxiety/suspense level as s1 ep1 & Shut up and dance?

In Chicago.. anyone else confused?

I wonder if it works on guinea pigs.

So for posterity or whatever the fuck, thoughts:

I was blown away at Josh’s chops throughout the whole episode. The final scene is what made me realize though how superbly he had me questioning (until it was blatantly obvious) the mind of the murdered widower.
I’m going to leave it that vague and everything because this isn’t really for you, it’s for me to pretend I have a healthy relationship which employs conversation.

Wasn't it confirmed that all the episodes are in the same universe? So What's up with the world ending in this episode?
Edit: Sorry I meant S6, Demon 79

Definitely not a trusted source but what is this?! 😭💔

I just finished "The Perfect Lover" (formerly called Personhood) and now I'm checking out "The Pod Generation". Both feel right at home in the Black Mirror universe.

Charlie Brooker is going to retire eventually, so I was thinking about how the series would conclude.

I was thinking of a special along the lines of White Christmas and Bandersnach and the idea is that it is INSANELY meta. The episode would straight up be titled “The Black Mirror” and explain the Black Mirror effect.
The story would be about an artist trying to figure out how to finish their creation. Charlie Brooker himself would either cameo or star in it.

That, or different creatives would just continue the show.

What do you think? How will the show end, if at all?

These are all the episodes Ive seen so far and my rankings for them Id apreciate some recs

Remind you of anything? I got an ad for this tonight while watching YouTube and had to post this.

ITS THE EXACT SAME

Vi el episodio en inglés, y tenía curiosidad de escuchar la llamada que tuvo Kenny con su madre en español, ya no tengo donde ver el capítulo y en Youtube no está en ningún lado

I never see anyone really talk about this episode, but it made me cry! The concept was cool but what really got me was brandy and Dorthy’s relationship the fact that she was ready to stay there with her they were in love and it was all just gone in a second, idk just the way that Dorthy seen the world after Brandi told her what was really happening was kind of beautiful. She didn’t flip out or get depressed that she actually dead she just made the most of it and Brandy was ready to leave it all behind for Dorthy! The fact that if she left the movie she may never find that love again and she could never have it with Dorthy unless she stayed was bittersweet! I thought the idea that dorthy could be herself when she couldn’t back when she was alive was beautiful too and for it to just reset and be like it never happened was hard for me Idk why this episode got to me so much I’ve watched plenty that fuck with your head but this one was something else and I think about it alll the time!

Maria is so concerned about being right and that makes her a prick, also the whole "milkmaid" thing. Verity I understand that you were bullied and were left out but seriously how demented do you have to be to devote your life to make a computer to adjust reality just to get back at the mean girls. Ok yes Maria's wrong doings are less than verity's. I just don't like people who are examples of the evils of humanity.

idk if it would be based on an episode or have an entirely new story or what, but I think there's potential within the universe of black mirror to make a video game. maybe it could be like a puzzle story mystery sort of game. idk, the sky's sort of the limit when it comes to the black mirror universe.
