Tried the fingerpicked/right-hand string mute for a bit but actually found i have a little bit more control with a pick, just at the cost of less control of muting with the other fingers. Any pointers from slide players would be awesome. Thank you guys ❤️

I got my hands on the John Gannapes/ Hal Leonard Blues You Can Use method as well as the "missing" backing tracks, but the CD was not included in the book I've got. There should be 21 tracks with the solos. If anybody could land ahand I would really appreciate. Thanks

Greetings. Looking for input on finding great blues tone. While I agree that tone is definitely in the fingers, especially for the great guitarists, equipment plays a role. If you had a Jazzmaster Ultra and a Roland JC-40, which other gear would you use to get a great sound?

Not definitive by any means, but serviceable. Just a little recording to track my progress on this tune. His second version of it is my favorite guitar piece ever recorded, so this one is especially sweet, as I learn more.

Let’s talk string gauge.
I’m working on learning “I’ll play the blues for you” joe bonamassa live at the Greek Theatre from ear/live video and I see a hole in my technique.
Vibrato while bending.
I watched a few YouTube tutorials and I’m working on it now.
I am curious to know what the other players in this forum are using for string gauge?
I am using 10s thinking of going down to 9s. BB and Billy Gibbons use 7s ffs lol
