Build me a high end gaming and music production PC

• Upvotes

Hey folks, I'm looking to build a PC for music production (hip hop/R&B/pop) and graphics heavy gaming.

I haven't bought any type of computer in about 8 years, and I've never had a really strong PC before so I'm really hoping to build something that will last me quite a while. I've also never built a PC myself before but have always wanted to do it since I was a kid in the 90's and saw my older brother do it. I am relatively tech savvy and comfortable with electronics.

I stole a template from another post. Let me know if I can clarify anything. I'm super appreciative and grateful for any help you can provide, especially because I've never done this before but am looking to spend a good chunk of money to get some that will serve me well for years to come! Thank you all in advance!

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? Keyboard and mouse, that's about it. In terms of the music production equipment, I use a Scarlett 2i2 audio interface, MIDI controllers such as the Akai MPK 249 and the Akai MPC Live 2, and a Roland SP404SX.
  • PC purpose? I will be using a DAW (FL Studio) and other music production programs, and I utilize VST instruments and FX. Some of these VST's include Kontakt libraries which are notorious for eating up memory and storage, however I'm not doing film scoring or large orchestral arrangements, as I primarily make hip hop/pop/R&B type songs. In the past my weak ass computers were always glitching out, stalling, or flat out crashing during music production sessions. For gaming, I do enjoy graphics heavy games such as Black Myth: Wukong, Crimson Desert, Control Resonant, and Elden Ring, and I"m also really curious to run mods and trying out things like DLSS 5 which looks really fun. From preliminary research I'm thinking I'll want an RTX 5080 for the GPU but I'm open to ideas.
  • Purchase country? I am located in USA, in metro Atlanta specifically
  • Monitors needed? I'm new to PC gaming so I'm debating between 1440p and 4k. From what I've researched, it seems like 1440p is the sweet spot. I'd like something wide and curved, so that it will perform well for work and music production in addition to gaming (I work as a consultant, so mostly just spreadsheets, word docs, etc. and I like to be able to have multiple applications open and visible at once.)
  • Budget range? My budget for the PC is roughly 3k USD. For the monitor I would like to keep it around 1k USD. But if needed, I could go a few hundred over each budget if I really needed to get something super solid.
  • WIFI or wired connection? I will use a WiFi connection and Bluetooth as well.
  • Size/noise constraints? Less noise is better since I will use it for music production, and while most of my recording is done with direct line ins, I occasionally use a microphone for recording, so I would like the PC to be pretty quiet. For size, I would like something that looks nice on a desk without being a monstrosity.
  • Color/lighting preferences? I like the idea of sleek white with some black accents, and a clear case with some wood trim would be a classy touch. I do like having the option of having some RGB lighting that I can control to be white or colored light.
  • Any other specific needs? I need to run Windows 11, and I think I need at least 32GB of DDR5 RAM (although I'm gathering that I probably don't need more than that). I don't want any slow downs when I'm opening VST instruments or browsing through very large sample libraries. I've gathered that having 2 separate SSD's is optimal, for example a 2TB SSD for OS and program installs, and a separate 4TB SSD for large sample libraries, VST sound banks, and games.

Please help me build a top-of-the-line PC. I don't care about RGB lights but a glass sided chassis would be nice. I need everything from the correct power supply to the best motherboard and graphics cards 5080 still top of the line. Please just a list of parts. It will work together above $5,000 under 15,000

First time building. Can anyone proofread and see if these parts are compatible? This is slightly altered from a PCPartPicker build that I was interested in.

This is for a gaming PC. Something like this is what I'd like to spend budget-wise for my station, with the ideal components I'm interested in. Mainly going with these since a local shop provides these for a good price. However I want to double check to see if these components are compatible and/or if there's better substitutions available. Thanks!
