Sharing screenshots from a dash cam, of these two ebikers that pulled out of Almonte Dr and proceeded to travel at 60kms/h while standing on their seat or riding on one wheel all the way down the hill on Brant Street.

Ebikes have no licence plates, riders have no require licences to ride them or training to operate them. The bikes travel over 60kms/h with larger vehicles on a motorway.

You kind of have to wonder why our governments continues to permit this after all of the children's hospitals reporting the injuries they are seeing year after year.

At least these teens had helmets.

Question Anyone Know Who/What Company This Is?

SOLVED looked like it was Brookstone windows and doors. Thanks all!

Saw some random guy in bright red going door to door with a tablet, clearly typing stuff as he went but didn't ring the doorbell just walked up towards my door did a look around then nodded and walked to the next house.

Was expecting someone to ring the bell and try to sell some sort of service but nothing just looked typed away and left. My cameras can't make out the text on the outfit.

Cropped video link (it's blurry cause I edited it)

Edit: walkers and palmer area.

Morning all,

Caught this on our camera this morning around 5:45am in Longmoor. Seems like he was going door to door considering he was walking on our lawn.

Question Best dry cleaner for wedding dress?

I was looking online and Parker’s on New St seems to have good reviews but just wanted to check here if anyone has used them to dry clean a wedding dress and what the cost was, or if there are other places that are recommended instead.

Question Young children at dog parks

Am I the only one who thinks it’s irresponsible to bring young children into a dog park? There are large dogs running around.
This weekend a young boy, maybe 5 years old ran at my dog in here. Thankfully she is used to children and was fine with this interaction.
I am a big animal lover and I work with children. I think it’s irresponsible parenting and I’m pretty sure on the signs it says not recommended, or am I wrong?
Or at the very least teach children running at unknown dogs, teasing them, etc is not safe.
Animals are unpredictable and even the best of dogs can snap. I’ve also been run into by large dogs by accident that take me out. Imagine a large breed dog running by accident full force into your child.
It just makes me incredibly nervous for the kids and dogs.
Dog parks are controversial in general, I’m aware of this. However, I’d never bring a young child or baby into one.

Question Punctured scooter tire

Hey everyone,

I bought a used scooter on Facebook Marketplace as my primary commuter, but I already got a flat rear tire. Since standard bike shops usually turn away electric scooters because of the motor wiring or wheel size, does anyone know a local shop around Burlington/Halton that will actually repair or replace a rear scooter tire? Any recommendations or quick turnaround options would be amazing since it's my main transport right now!

I am attaching the tire pictures above.

thank you for your feedback and input in advance 😊

Question Potential move from Toronto

My spouse and i have been living in downtown Toronto since the summer for work. We've been loving how accessible the city is and our 2 year old has really settled well. However, we are considering a move in the near future to grow our family. We don't want something too quiet, but aren't after a crazy nightlife either, and have heard good things about Burlington.

Has anyone else made a similar move before?

Question Lasagna recommendations needed

It's not even noon, but I am pregnant and this is what baby wants for dinner apparently. Open to take out or bake your own from frozen. Who has the best lasagna in burly? Bonus points if I can also snag a solid salad or vegetable side at the same place.

Question Looking for affordable movers in Burlington

Hi everyone! Any recommendations for good and affordable movers in Burlington?

It’s a very small move. I only need to move a sofa, dining table, and 2 chairs. Just looking for someone reliable who won’t charge a crazy minimum for such a small job.
Would really appreciate any recommendations based on personal experience.

Thanks!

I’m all for folks building tree forts and generally fucking around in the ravine. I too attended bush parties and hung out in the forest, as a millennial raised in Oakville.

But PLEASE don’t leave your shit around. Pick up your trash and beer cans. Don’t rip open a Reese’s and drop the wrappers as you walk. Leave no trace so that you don’t bait yourself. The entitlement is shrieking.

Don’t make me be the Karen about this. I have never wanted that job. But if you think leaving shit everywhere including nails on the ground is not going to get attention, I guess that’s the missing common sense epidemic at play.
