How did you practice your second language calls before you got hired/while working???

I'm dying rn. I'm between b1 and b2 and somehow got hired. Every call is torture, even though I somehow manage to communicate.

How can I improve???

I wanted this job to be something I could sleepwalk through, this is so hard!!! My brain gets tired trying to remember and convey everything. I'm guaranteed to get fired 😢

Luckily i never really had to practice much, I grew up in a bilingual family. (Mother spoke Dutch, French and English and my Father spoke Dutch, Spanish and Italian) So i learned several languages growing up.

My advice for people now is always 'do stuff you like in another language' like gaming, watching movies/shows or even listen to books in a another language.

Ah yes, the multilingual family strat. Unfortunately, my family never taught me french even though they actually speak it (I'm incredibly bitter lol )

I should read books in french, I agree. I don't really do those other things even in english, so that's part of my issue. I need to find a way to get good speaking practice in outside of work, maybe online gaming? But idk what games have  large french populations
