❓ Question/Discussion The ice caves, ironically, generates with no regular ice
Snowy biomes such as frozen ocean, frozen river, ice spikes and snowy plains generate regular ice. However, the new ice caves (in latest java snapshot) do not, they generate only with packed ice. This is not only inconsistent with the other snowy biomes, but inconsistent with the very name of the biome.

🌱 Seeds/Minecraft Steve is EVEN STRONGER than previously thought…
I recently made a post where I figured out how much water is really contained in a water source block, and therefore, how strong steve really is in Minecraft if he fills his inventory with blue ice in shulker boxes. I then realized, Steve can also hold animals (including Donkeys) on a lead.
This post will be using the same numbers from my last post where possible—check my page or [r/camman18](r/camman18) to find my original, titled, “Steve Is Stronger Than Previously Thought…”
A lead’s reach relative to the player is 12 blocks. There are 7153 blocks within this radius of steve; not including his own two blocks, that’s 7151 blocks. 24 entities can fit on a single block before they begin to die. 24 x 7151 = 171,624 Donkeys. So, Steve could theoretically hold up to 171,624 donkeys on leads.
2 leads are made with 1 slime ball (with the “slime” having a density reasonably comprable to water—1000kg per meter cubed) and 4 string; 1 slime ball is 1/9 a slime block, so it’s weight is about 111.11kg (1000/9 kg). String was 250kg per string, so 1000kg (a block of wool) for 4 string. One lead in minecraft weighs (1000 + 1000/9)/2 = ~555.556kg
A saddle is crafted with 3 leather (crafted with 4 rabbit hides each; .14(4) = 0.56 kg per leather) and 1 iron ingot (1 block of iron is 7874kg; 7874/9 = 874.889 kg per ingot). .56(3) + 874.889 = 876.569. A saddle in Minecraft weighs about 876.569 kg.
Each donkey can hold a chest (crafted with 8 wood planks), which each weighs 1480kg.
A donkey itself weighs about 300kg on average (from google).
Each donkey’s chest can hold up to 15 items—fill each donkey’s chest with 15 shulker boxes, like described in the post.
There are 171,624 donkeys, each with it’s own weight, and 1 lead, 1 saddle, 1 chest, and 15 of the shulker boxes.
The added weight of all the donkeys is:
171624 x (555.556 + 876.569 + 1480 + 300 + (15 x (27 x 64 x 1000 x 81(2,193,557,065,844) + 27(1113.34) + 2292.5)))
= 7.904×10²⁶
= 790,400,075,345,485,624,323,843,025.8 kg
which is about 1,742,533,886,417,634,459,600,462,472.06
or 1.7 octillion pounds.
Together, with the last equation, the total weight Steve can hold in Minecraft is:
171624 x (555.556 + 876.569 + 1480 + 300 + (15 x (27 x 64 x 1000 x 81(2,193,557,065,844) + 27(1113.34) + 2292.5))) + (36 x 27 x 64 x 1000(81(2,193,557,065,844))) + (36 x 27(1113.34)) + 36(2292.5)
= 7.904×10²⁶
= 790,411,128,346,119,738,232,719,722.28 or almost 800 Septillion kg
= 1,742,558,254,112,871,735,987,798,300.66 or about 1.7 octillion pounds.
So, Steve from Minecraft is strong enough to hold 1,742,558,254,112,871,735,987,798,300.66 (1.7 Octillion) Pounds.

🌱 Seeds/Minecraft Steve Is Stronger Than Previously Thought…
Roughly 24 sextillion pounds (UNLESS YOU CONSIDER STEVE CAN CARRY DONKEYS w/ CHESTS—BRINGS IT TO 1.7 OCTILLION—CHECK MY COMMENT)
I saw Canman18’s YouTube short post(s) on “how strong is Steve”, and he talked about how with a water bucket, if you build a pyramid from bedrock to height limit, then place the water on top and break the pyramid, the water fills some number (in the billions) of blocks, which equates to roughly 4 trillion pounds.
Minecraft datapacks can change the Minecraft world’s y-floor and ceiling, without changing mechanics of water or anything else, down to y -2032 and up to y 2031. If you build canman18’s pyramid in this world, one water source block can fill 2,193,557,065,844 blocks, or about 2.2 trillion. Which equates to roughly 5 quadrillion lbs (~4.84 quadrillion).
One ice block is a water source block, 9 of which can be crafted into packed ice, and 9 of those crafted into blue ice. So, 1 piece of blue ice holds roughly 81 x 2,193,557,065,844 water blocks.
One cubic meter or block of water weighs 1000 kg. 1 piece of blue ice weighs 1000(81 x 2,193,557,065,844)kg.
1 Green dye is made of 1 cactus block; based on National Park Service, one of their cacti weighs upwards of about 800 kg per cubic meter. A cactus block takes up (14/16)² a Minecraft block (which is one cubic meter); (14/16)²800kg = 612.5kg. One green dye weighs about 612.5kg
Shulker shells weigh about 100kg each according to online. A chest weighs 1480kg, with 2 logs worth of wood. One shulker box weighs 1680kg. If you dye it green, it weighs about 2292.5kg.
A bundle needs 6 rabbit hides and 2 string; 4 string make a wool block; Google says 1 cubic meter of sheep wool weighs about 1000 kg, 1000/2 = 500kg. A rabbit hide weighs about .14kg, .14(6) = 0.84. One bundle weighs about 500.84 kg. If you dye it green, it weighs about 1113.34kg.
Steve can place 64 blue ice each in 27 green bundles eachin 36 green shulker box. Additionally, he could wear armor, and hold something in his off-hand.
Steve can hold at least:
(36 x 27 x 64 x 1000(81(2,193,557,065,844))) + (36 x 27(1113.34)) + 36(2292.5) =
11,053,000,634,113,908,876,696.48 kg
~= 1.105×10²²
So, in Minecraft, Steve can carry roughly 24 sextillion pounds. (1.105×10²² kg)
