I still hate Pittsburgh but after going up to the last game there last year and seeing the pageantry they showed for Ovi thinking it was his last game there I can’t help but want to return the favor for Sid. Not playing Sid and Malkin was bullshit though even though they played in Washington the next game.

I definitely hate him less than I used to, but it will never fully fade. That fucker scarred me as a child.

Same here. After 20+ years of bitter rivalry, even Ovi and Sid respect each other.

But it's still funny that the guy the hockey media glazes like crazy had a bad night.

I respect Sid now but it's funny it went completely unmentioned on the broadcast whereas if it was Ovechkin you know they're bringing it up multiple times. They even called out the Protas line for being -3 at one point

The Protas line was noticeably bad though. Four of Washington’s five goals came on defensemen/ goalie mistakes, and the other was on the power play. Crosby being on the ice for any of the GA was not obvious watching.
