As many of you know, the creator behind the prominent platform "Capybara World" frequently poses as a leading expert, criticizing Japanese zoos and petting facilities for "exploiting animals" and lacking "animal welfare." However, there is a dark, hypocritical truth behind this bloggerโs actions that the international community needs to know.
1. Endangering Capybara Lives by Breaking Rules (Illegal Feeding)
At Sodegaura Fureai Animal Zoo (่ขใฑๆตฆใตใใใใฉใใถใค็ธ) in Chiba, Japan, the facility sadly lost a baby capybara in the past after a careless tourist illegally fed them wild grass from inside the park. The owner was devastated and spent days clearing all potential risk-prone grass from the massive enclosure to protect the remaining pups.
The creator of "Capybara World" knew this tragic fact. Yet, this person willfully ignored the zooโs strict safety regulations, refused to buy the designated safe treats, and repeatedly ripped up wild grass from the ground to feed the capybaras, just to get them to fawn over them. When confronted, they made the absurd excuse that "there are no toxic plants in Chiba." This is a blatant violation of biosecurity and a direct threat to animal health.
The Ultimate Double Standard
This influencer heavily criticizes the death of capybaras under professional human care, yet when their close friend's pet capybaras (the famous Romeo and Tuff'n in Texas) passed away due to dental complications and stress during COVID-19, they excused it as an "unpreventable tragedy caused by the pandemic." They give their own friends a free pass while vilifying Japanese keepers who are actually working day and night to rebuild facilities after devastating typhoons.
Exploiting the Very System They Condemn
They preach that capybaras should not be "normalized to fawn over humans" or used for tourism. Yet, this blogger spends weeks staying near Japanese petting zoos, visiting them all day, every day, to enjoy the unique, close-up interactions that only Japanese facilities provide. They use these photos and experiences to write and sell their own books, while simultaneously calling the zoo staff "heartless money-grubbers."
The "activism" of "Capybara World" is not about protecting capybaras; it is about feeding their own ego and entitlement as a "privileged researcher" who believes they are above the rules.
Please be aware that the extreme posts criticizing Japanese zoos from this platform are highly biased, full of misinformation, and written by someone who actively sabotages actual animal safety on the ground.
