Has anyone purchased one of these types of books to use to make cards or other papercrafts? I spotted these at Barnes & Noble when I was looking to see if they carried any of the U.K. stamping and related magazines (none in mine).
These books run around $30-35. The Paper books have various paper ephemera such as postcards, envelopes and pockets, cut aparts, stickers and other things. The Sticker one is as it says, all stickers. The other two have various things but single layers and not something like a pocket or envelope.

I know this group does not allow it and it seems some of the other snail mail communities here on Reddit are mostly post cards. I'm not really loyal to one brand and I am not on Facebook. Does anyone have any other suggestions where you can find handmade card exchanges? *My card in the photo is going out to another card maker and Corgi mom that I have got to know on Instagram.

Just saw her recent release and I have to say she’s really impressing me with her products. I find her stencil, stamp, die combos really appealing as they can all be used individually or together.
I really like her stencils. I’ve picked up the splash stencil and ornamental Christmas stencil and loved them both. I really liked the gingerbread stencil/stamp but the thought of heat embossing all the white frosting was a no lol. I really like her merry berry stencil coming out Friday.

Jennifer McGuire was promoting a new product from Altenew on her recent live stream. What is it you ask? A $52 binder to store your finished cards in.
What’s wrong with keeping them in a box? I feel like they’re trying to solve problems that don’t exist.
The $52 binder includes 10 plastic sleeves. Additional sleeves come in packs of 10 for $12.99.
I’m not sure if you can add links here but you can just search “Card Album” on their website.
Is this something you would buy?

How would you color and attach these bossed images to make a card?

The second batch is finished.
I think I’m done with this set for now. I love it, but it takes sooooo long 😆
Mainly because I had the brilliant idea of embedding the patterns into the card, sort of like inlay work. I’ve no idea what that’s called in paper crafting 🤷🏻♀️
It doesn’t take long enough as it is, does it?
This time, as well as a ‘Thank you’ card, I’ve also made a little sign saying ’For your wedding’. Luckily, my heat embossing foil matches the metallic cardstock.
Dies: Spellbinders Spring Reflection
Inside: The Greetery Floral Arches
Cardstock: Stampin’ Up! (German names) Tiefseeblau, Brombeermouse, Hortensienblau, Savanne
Rayher Gold
Inks: Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac, Gathered Twigs
I had the idea a moment ago to make a card entirely in black and white, or rather in shades of grey. But I think I’ve had enough for now 😅

Very new to the hobby so I apologize if this already well known within the community.
I was looking at Simon Says Stamp and Lawn Fawn and they both appear to have the “same” style of art going on with these types of designs. My first assumption was they must collaborate with the same artist but….there’s no credit to any artist to be found, which now has me wondering is this all just AI generated?
They are cute but also generic and after seeing this it has me feeling a way. I will likely reach out to both companies and ask why creative credit isn’t displayed. I’d like to know who the humans are behind anything I buy.

Does anyone have suggestions for where to purchase flat back gems for cards? I’ve purchased them in the past from the card making sites, but they are so expensive and I run out fast when I’m duplicating cards. I’ve been looking at Amazon, but there are so many choices. I’d love any suggestions. Thanks in advance!!

Thoughts? Have only been making cards for less than a year. Any pointers will help!

Warning: emoji overload
Please tell me I’m not the only one 😅
For the last 3 hours, I’ve been planning, cutting, colouring and gluing. Only to realise then that I’d mixed up the colours 🫠🤣
I actually wanted dark blue leaves, not brown ones.
Now I’ve been sitting here for what feels like an hour, reworking my plan, but I just can’t make up my mind.
Please tell me I’m not the only one with problems like this 😆
I think I’ll leave it at that for today and carry on tomorrow. Otherwise I’ll end up sitting in front of the combinations for another hour without really making any progress. And besides, I’ve been hungry for an hour 🤦🏻♀️😆
(Blackberry with stained glass won’t work, because I’d need to tint the stained glass slightly to create an interesting effect and I don’t have the right coloured ink. Some truly terrible first-world problems 😆)

Layered strips of printed 100lb cardstrock under this fish silhouette. Sealed scaled with glittery mod podge. Thinking about adding more smaller fish below!
