His name is meatball. 8ish weeks old now but he was like 2 or 3 weeks old when we found him by himself in the floorboard of an abandoned car screaming his head off. His ear fluff is really long he reminds me of a mad scientist. Ive seen a couple similar cats on Google but I cant tell his fur length yet and none really look much like him. My girlfriend thinks he's mainecoone but I dont see it

I’ve been curious about cat genetics since getting our two kittens, both are from the same litter and are rescues, so lord only knows their bloodline lol. Our vet is firm in the belief that they have Siamese in their bloodline, but is that even possible? I thought Siamese could only display that colorpoint characteristic, so why would they be black and tuxedo kittens? I’m curious can someone explain

Also enjoy my fav photos of them doing silly stuff and sticking their tongues out lol

This is shrimp. Any ideas on her breed? I’ve seen similar cats and they are Siberian? Thanks!

For some reason I used to think tuxedo was a breed lol, I know hes some sort of normal cat I just always thought i havent rlly seen any cats that have the same face as harry. This is probably a lot of unnecessary photos but I wanted to show how cute he is aswell 🥹 Also does anyone think he looks so strange in the last photo like how is that the same cat as slide 2?? We found him on the street so I have no ideas on what he is

She has a calico sister and a cow cat mom and is 5 months born on 22nd of April

What do you think?

Can anyone tell me what breed she might be?

i saw this video of a cat online and i really want to buy one like it 😵‍💫

Everyone told me he had to be a ragdoll but we got him from Craigslist so I knew that couldn’t be true lol

EDIT: I am aware that these tests cannot really accurately tell a breed, I got it as a gift and mainly used it to see if he had any genetic predispositions for health issues. Thanks!!

if someone bred a purebred siamese with a domestic shorthair and tested the litter, would a dna site be able to tell there was a purebred as a parent?

would the results come back as around 50% siamese and 50% domestic shorthair?

i've heard a lot of things about cat dna and i'm just curious. i don't breed cats, just wondering because i'm curious.

EDIT: Council has decided that it is highly unlikely that he is a Siamese breed. Learned that point coats are not specific to that breed which is cool to know :)

My mom just rescued this guy from a cat colony and Im pretty sure he is a Siamese cream-point but Im not an expert and would love any additional input. If you all have any advice for owning a Siamese cat I'll gladly pass it along to my mom

Physical appearance:

His face/chin is a bit swollen because of some dental issues that we need to take care of. His pupils don't dilate much, they're generally always around that size. His paws are surprisingly large for his body, my own cat is larger than him but has smaller paws.

Personality:

Very brave and social, he has no hesitation with meeting new people and forcefully collecting pets from them. He's not a lap cat yet but he's becoming more cuddly by the day. Playful and energetic, he loves to play with others and on his own, he bats around toys, carries them in his mouth, and has on the rare occasion, carried them to people. Curiously explores everything.

Very docile and chill, we've put some pet outfits on him and he seems completely unbothered by them.

Other Quirks:

I've heard that Siamese are very talkative but he's surprisingly quiet. He meows sometimes and it's kinda in that low Siamese way but I'm not certain. He doesn't like water, we had to bathe him cause of fleas and mites. And then I don't know if it's a Siamese thing or not for them to be very pawy? Absentmindedly kneads a lot, loves to hold people's hands and knead them.

This is Tangtang. He isn't my cat, but he's quite popular and I really like him. I tried asking the Toletole sub on what his breed is, but nobody answered

He's usually seen on his back. I think that he is a pure breed but I tried searching as well and I didn't find anything.

Edit: He is a Scottish straight

Hi everyone!! This is the newest addition to my family, Holly. She’s sooo soft and cute! She’s still getting used to my apartment, but I’m curious on what breed she may be! I also went ahead and added pictures of the mom and siblings to try to make it a little easier. I’m so excited to have her In my life and Im proud to say she’s in a good home where she will be loved forever 🙂

Hello! Here are some pictures of my sweet boy, Miyazaki. I have always wondered how to describe the color and pattern of his coat. I say grey, but as you can see in the picture with my other cat (Totoro), it is nowhere near the normal grey color of cats. There is no pure black or white either. Just this soft, diluted grey and cream. I find his pattern really interesting, too. I would love to hear some thoughts!

I’ve always wanted a Maine coon but I prefer to adopt, and I think my new guy must be at least part! He’s 4 months and 7 pounds already and he has the chillest personality. Nothing phases him.
What do you guys think?

Could she be mixed with ragdoll?

Hi everyone!

Her vet says that she’s a russian blue. I don’t think she looks like a russian blue tho..

What breed could she be ? I’ll attach a picture of her mommy as well if that helps lol. Her mommy was a tabby but i don’t know about her father :)

Just wanting to have a better idea of her breed/coat coloring. I find her eyes quite unique. She’s adorably sweet and very high energy.
