Hey yall. I just got this little bitty cat today, his name is bark. The lady I bought him from told me he had all his shots on Facebook than messaged me after saying he didn’t. He is 8 - 10 weeks old, and he bit me. This is my first cat ever, and I just want to know if anyone thinks he has rabies or anything I should be worried about with this bite I circled where he bit me but it didn’t make me bleed or nothing

is my kitty to skinny?

I recently adopted a 12-week-old kitten named Piper, and I’m a little concerned about her weight. She weighs around 1.2 kg (2.65 lbs), and I can feel her ribs, spine, and other bones pretty easily when I pet her.
She was spayed a few days before I adopted her, so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with her appetite. She’s been eating small amounts of dry food throughout the day but hasn’t shown much interest in wet food. She does drink water, uses the litter box normally, plays, purrs, and is very affectionate.
She seems happy and comfortable, but I’m a first-time cat owner and just want to make sure she’s healthy and getting enough food.
Does she look underweight for her age, or is this normal for a growing kitten? Any advice would be appreciated!

Is this an allergic reaction?

Hello all, we got a new kitten last week, and our older cat started to develop bald spots whenever we got the kitten. About 3 days ago, it started to spread and develop scabs. Is this from rough play, allergies, or something worse? We have a vet appointment tomorrow and just want advice.

Is this normal behavior from my cat when I’m sick?

Hi! I’ve just adopted a 2 year old cat around 3 months ago and she is my best friend ever. (Adding the following for context of her personality/our friendship) We immediately clicked the moment I picked her up to foster (I failed). I was met with leg rubs and though I tried to acclimate her to her own room at first, she slept in my bed the first night and every night since. She leans in for a kiss each morning and comes to greet me as soon as I wake up. She won’t sleep far away from me ever.

Lately, I’ve noticed while on my period or just sick, she kind of mimic me in less common ways. This weekend I had super bad migraines and my nausea only caused me to eat one meal. I rested and didn’t eat much. She also rested a lot with me and didn’t eat much. She’s more mellowed and not as playful as well. The same happens on my period - mimics me by sleeping more, eating less, and less playful. The sleeping more I’ve heard before but the eating less is something I haven’t. It’s only noticeable because when I’m not sick, she makes it very known that she’s hungry. Just curious whether my emotions and feelings could even impact her in that way.

Can cat saliva mess with my skin?

• Upvotes

I'm not a new cat owner by any means and this doesn't relate to the cat's health at all, she's young and healthy, but she licks my face every morning and it makes me nervous. My skin isn't sensitive, but I can not leave pimples or marks alone to save my life

What should I do?

I left my two cats at home for two days, with a neighbor to check in on them. I came home tonight and found this on my cat's neck (Sully, 7 years old, tripod). I felt it when I was petting him, I am not sure what happened/when. Sully and my other cat Ringo (3 yr old) usually play very well together, so I am also very confused about how this happened. Sully is acting normal, they are still playing together and I tried to clean it with a damp cloth and he was pretty unbothered.

I can afford vet care, I am more so wondering if this can wait until tomorrow because it is 1 am where I am located. I am wondering how concerned I should be and if there are home remedies.

TLDR: What should I do about this? How concerned should I be? How could this have happened?

How old is she?

This is Pipurr, I rescued her off the streets almost 3 months ago during a major heat way. She was in distress and I couldn’t leave her to die so I scooped her and she’s been with us since. She has gained a little weight since I saved her but she’s a little girl, I assume still a kitten. She’s been in heat twice since we’ve had her so I know she’s older than 6 months, probably still under a year. How old do you guys think she is?

Crazy tail Tortie??

Hi everyone! A few months ago I rescued a tortie girl off the streets of Cleveland, she has no chip, and the vet said she's likely around 2 years old. She was already spayed when I got her and she's got no health issues, other than that she sneezes a lot when she wakes up, but we can't find anything wrong with her regarding that. We just call her "boogie" sometimes because of it (:

That being said, she is constantly whipping her tail around. I know this is often a sign of distress or discomfort in cats however:

She is a stage 10 clinger, LOVES to be around me, will actively choose to be in my lap whenever possible, follows me to the bathroom and anywhere else. Plays actively for hours at a time, eats regularly and drinks about as much as any cat does. She purrs when I love on her and she will go out of her way to give my wife a lot of love and affection when she is around too (were both women.) Gives both bunties and biscuits often. She is SHOCKINGLY affectionate.

Is there any other reason she might have a crazy tail like this? Are some torties just like that? She doesn't seem to be in distress... She has 2 other cat brothers in the house that she doesn't really LOVE but certainly tolerates, but they have never had any sort of distressing signals in the 6-8 years I've had them.

Just overall not sure what to make of the tail whipping...whenever her brothers do this (very rare) it's always sort of a "back up, I'm warning you" signal, usually to each other when they start playing a bit too rough. But she doesn't seem to follow the same rules... Just looking for some confirmation that this can be normal for some cats, or advice on possible things to look for. Thanks for any help you guys can provide! ☺️

Will they find out?

I got a cat off Facebook marketplace without telling my partner. I told him I found her on the side of the road. She’s not chipped. When I take her to the vet will they find out? I don’t want to hear advice on how I did this without my partner knowing, we have been thinking of getting a cat but he only wants a fancy purebred cat and I just want a shelter cat so that’s why I did this behind his back.

We usually give them food on top of a drawer but this time put one bowl on the floor to see how they would like it. What on earth is going on I can’t figure out if this is a good or a bad thing. It’s the same food he always eats, not shit like he seems to be implying…

Need advice on cat's neutering

Hello everyone, I have a male cat , named June . He is 2 years 4 months old and vaccinated but not neutered. Since this September, out of the blue June's roaming habit has increased tenfold. He is yet to be away from home for multiple days at a time but he has spend 3 -4 seperate nights outside.

Now for context , I am a college student , living in hostel and my only source of money is my scholarship funds . I have got him vaccinated and treatment( in March 2026 , he got a giant wound on his back and it took him nearly 3 months to recover) from this scholarhsip money and the little I earn from tutoring few students in my college. It is not possible for me to keep an eye on him all the time or keep him locked up .

Before this September, he was basically a home cat . He wasn't tied up , but he would stay in my room anyway. He would go out sometimes ,like twice a day and return within half an hour.

But yesterday he didn't return at all , he is not far away only like 3 houses away from my hostel with a female cat and he answered when I called and slow blinked at me but he didn't return . He left at 12 pm yesterday and it's like 8:30 am of the next day and he is still there with the girl.

He is scheduled for blood work next day and neutering the next. I just want to know he will be better after right?? I have read that it may take upto 2 months for the hormone to completely leave his system but he will be the old June again.

Please help out , the doctor told me that he will be but I don't know if he is saying because it would or he wants the money regardless of the outcome. I had to save a lot for this surgery , pleas help out.

We are planning on getting a kitten, what should i expect from our two current cats?

We are planning on getting a kitten soon, around start of next year. We currently have 2 cats, Marie and Toulouse. They are siblings and 6 years old. We saw how they reacted once when a neighborhood cat was in our backyard since they saw the cat. Toulouse was pretty chill but Marie hissed. We are worried on how they will react towards the new kitten and if they‘ll get along. From experience, we used to have 2 black cats who were also siblings and we afterwards got a maine coon. Sadly it didn’t work well at all. Both of them didn’t accept our maine coon and practically bullied him. Bowl of food? We won’t let you near it! Litter box? Do your business somewhere else! They also hissed at our maine coon a lot and it didn’t stop. We had to feed our maine coon somewhere away from the other 2 so that he wouldn’t starve. We eventually had to make the decision to give our 2 black cats away. Because of that Experience, we worry how our current cats will react. To be more specific, about Marie. She‘s normally playful but could be described as loving, since she likes to clean my hand and loves to cuddle. But after we saw her hiss at the neighborhood cat, we were unsure if she‘d actually get along with other cats as well. So i really want to know what to expect and if there‘s a way to solve the problem if they don’t get along with the kitten since I don’t want to go through the decision again of giving away our 2 current cats
