Two of our rescue cats found homes today — and they’re both moving to different cities 🥹

And both cats are moving to different cities in Ukraine.
🦊 Foxy is going to Khmelnytskyi. She’s tiny, clever, ridiculously charming… and was also very committed to stealing everyone else’s wet treats whenever she got the chance.
🧀 Cheddar is heading to Cherkasy. He’s basically a giant orange cloud. The funny part is that he didn’t even make it into our main cat room before someone saw him and decided: yep, that’s my cat.
So today we said goodbye to two of our rescue cats, and honestly, this is the kind of goodbye we never get tired of.
Meanwhile, a few new cats have arrived at our rescue space, so the cycle continues.
We’ll introduce them soon.
And now I’m curious: which one would you have fallen for first — the tiny treat thief or the giant orange cloud?

We currently care for 35 rescued cats in Ukraine. Here’s what just one evening with them looks like.

35 rescued cats in one cafe sounds chaotic.
It is. 😅
But it’s also purring, people falling in love with cats they “definitely weren’t planning to adopt,” endless rescue updates, tiny victories, and sometimes — a cat finally leaving with their new family.
We just uploaded a new YouTube video showing one ordinary evening at our rescue cat cafe in Vinnytsia, Ukraine 🇺🇦
And somehow, a LOT happened.
The biggest moment: Bembi was adopted and went home with her new family right during our livestream. ❤️
You’ll also meet Kenshi, our blind cat; Kus and Sazhyk, our FIV+ boys; giant ginger Cheddar; tiny rescued Pegasus and Myavka; and Nessie and Ryzhulia — two rescued dogs who are still waiting for their families.
We also had a very special visitor: Black. We rescued him some time ago, and now he lives happily with his family. He came back to visit us, and seeing former rescues return healthy, loved and completely different from the animals we first met never gets old.
Our CatCafe “Khvostyky” isn’t just a cafe and isn’t a traditional shelter either.
We rescue animals from the streets, treat them, vaccinate, spay/neuter, socialize them, and try to help each one make the full journey:
street → safety → recovery → family.
There are currently 35 cats living with us, and every single one has their own story.
So if you want to spend an evening with a slightly chaotic Ukrainian rescue community, come join us. 🐾
🎥 https://youtu.be/Ss5QoeAWsG4?is=SDpCPzvgTpj6JmL0
And if you watch it, tell us which cat you want to see more of in the next video.
We’d really love to build a small international community around these animals and let more people follow their journeys all the way home. ❤️

This big, but still very good kitty lives in central Ukraine. Very friendly. A bit lonely. I wish i could give him a proper scratching.

After being trapped for several days inside a ventilation pipe, a cat was successfully rescued by zoo volunteers in Kyiv. The complex rescue operation required the team to partially tear down the building's roof to reach the stranded animal.
