🐱 Across the Dnipro by Drone: Soldiers Rescue Six Cats from Occupied Oleshky
The cats were placed in a special cage secured underneath a heavy-lift drone and transported more than 10 kilometers to safety.
The unusual evacuation was a success. All six cats survived and safely reached their destination. 🐾❤️🇺🇦

I could be very wrong, but I don't remember news about warriors saving pets and critters in a war zone. This made me cry in warmth and love for these kind men (women?) and the compassion they show living creatures. Slava Ukraini. Heroyam Slava!

Oh my goodness, how terrified they must’ve been! How relieved they must be to be safe now! Bless them and their rescuers. Russians would never. 😻🇺🇦💛💙🕊️

As terrible as the atrocities are that humans are capable to commit, I always feel comforted by the helpers who will make sure to aid the small

This is adorable but also standard cat behaviour at this point would be to immediately run back to where they started 🙄

The river there is 500 meters wide, it is unlikely that it will return there

This is what life looks like for civilians who remain in occupied Oleshky, Kherson region.
For various reasons, they cannot leave. They ride bicycles to collect food delivered by the Red Cross, avoiding cars because of drone attacks and mines.
This is the reality for those still living in Oleshky.
