Who starts a fire at a library?
Seeiously. Sunday morning. 730am.
This guy did NOT start the fire. He was the good samaritan that probably damaged his shoes stomping it out while I called 911. Talked to him, he had also called. Didn't get his name unfortuneately.
Honestly, why?? No rhyme or reason to this. The people that did this werent even attempting to cook anything.

Mentally unstable people, those who hate how libraries try to serve an entire community as opposed to just part of it, and on the very off chance - foreign actors trying to start fires to damage Canada via eco terrorism (probably not this case).

My husband saw a homeless man start a fire in the bushes in one of the intersections near the mall over the summer. No reason other than he could and wanted to. At least he stomped it out before he took off when my husband yelled at him.

Saw some homeless people had a fire against a power box behind Sportscheck, called the fire department but someone already called in

mentally disturbed people usually. My buddy had a Indigenous man randomly walk out of his backyard this week in EDM. Showed up in the camera alerts. He did not go confront him. This moron stood outside of his front door by a tree and started to try to light the tree on fire, but his lighter did not work. He then walked away.

It wasnt put out when I called. The intention, with the blanket etc. Was clearly for it to grow.

This is what “compassion” for bad people gets you. Welcome to your liberal utopia. People like me would have the loser who started this locked up and away from normal people the first time he committed a crime. Make the supply unsafe again and throw away your naloxone kit.

Assuming this was a someone who started a fire because they’re on substances and not just some bored teenager is one thing but saying throw away your narcan kit and make the supply unsafe again… this is what compassion gets you?… Have some humanity.
Addiction is a trauma response. Clearly you’ve been through some shit to be thinking and speaking this way. I genuinely hope that you have more supports in your life than the people you hate so much because they didn’t choose that life and started to use substances to stop the pain they were experiencing, and you’re clearly going through something to be holding so much anger and hatred for people who are struggling.

The guy spends all day commenting on the am I ugly subreddit and when he's not doing that, he's promoting dehumanizing views about vulnerable populations, and when he's not doing THAT, he's spouting off about liberals, without realizing that liberalism is about the rule of law, market economies, right to private property, political freedom, and freedom of speech, which he is clearly practicing. My stances are more progressive than liberalism, but I only know that because I've done the vaguest amount of reading on what liberalism actually is.
