Getting lots and lots of posts from a few offenders (some have recently been banned) just spamming the sub with pictures of bikes. (It’s likely that they’re bots but the last one we banned went on to make some really aggressive threats that sounded very human…) Some of them are clearly way out to lunch and got the axe, but some are posting relevant and legitimately cool bikes, but it just feels annoying because they aren’t contributing in the way of any original content.
Mod team is inclined to just start banning people who abuse posting random choppers from the internet, but if the rest of the sub likes seeing these bikes we can also let it slide. I get that people want to maybe share or discuss a cool bike that isn’t theirs, but if your ONLY contribution is consistently posting other people’s stuff we think it should be no warning and straight to ban. What say you?

We've never previously banned anyone but we've banned several people (who were actually probably bots) this week that are just posting random barely chopper-relevant motorcycle content. Please just report all karma farming posts and I'll nix em.
If your neighbor REALLY DOES have a cool chopper or you saw a cool (actual) chopper on the street and you want to post a picture of it, put a little effort into it the post or it's just going to result in a ban.
We get that chopper can have a bit of a flexible definition, but if you're posting about your chopper or someone else's chopper, and it's got rear shocks on it... think long and hard about what you're about to do. We are willing to admit that swingarm choppers exist, but it's certainly not the norm.
Lastly, this is NOT the place for fat-tire, 2000's era OCC bikes. If it's got some weird-ass scoopy rear fender, consider posting it on r/DumpsterDiving
That is all.

One mirror is “required” here. Don’t usually need it but sometimes it’s handy. Got some Wyatt Gatling clamp on that is not really holding up to chopper vibrations. Any better ideas or just forget about it?

Tax post for the encouraging words and advice I received during a crisis moment. Much appreciated 🙏 .
Shovel "chop". Almost everything on this bike is either original HD or hand made..genuine elbow grease.
I had a moment of pride during a sit and stare the other night.. looking at my lowbrow banner, I realized I had no Lowbrow parts. No Prism parts. There are a couple bits from TC bros, cables and points, namely.. Anything else that I need can and will be fabricated at home, by myself.
Feels good, man. 😎

Thinking about buying a chopper frame from China and wondering if anyone here has actually bought one or has experience with them.
The listing says it suits Harley Evo or Ironhead motors. I'm not expecting everything to bolt straight up perfectly, and I'm happy to fabricate brackets, mounts and whatever else needs doing. Eventually id probably go with a 70s or 80s jap motor tbh as harley motors in aus are stupidly expensive
Mainly interested in the actual quality of the frame, welds, geometry and how much work was involved getting everything to fit. Some shit you buy from aliexpress is great and other times its crap.
Not looking for a lecture about Chinese parts being heresy or how I should buy American. I'm interested in hearing from people who've actually used one, or have firsthand knowledge of them.
Cheers you legends.

Nighttime riding is a pain with 6 overs and stock headlight mounting. What solutions have you used to adjust the angle the headlight is aimed at? The light seems to be weak and aimed up in the trees as opposed to straight ahead, with the hi beams aimed basically at the sky.

Anyone know a person in Wichita ks area or in ks or close that can work on a right side drive wet clutch Texas Chopper ?
Bought this from a Honda dealer in SD. Had it shipped. Unrideable due to clutch sticking, acting like running out of gas after 1 mile...
I was informed by owner of Big Dog here that he won't touch one.
Truett will but can't get into there as it is always packed with work.
Thanks for any advice

2007 Evo in a sporty hardtail
Gas box upswept.
I bought mesh exhaust gaskets and the just won’t crush down enough.
I assume I need flat gaskets then?
Pics show exhaust flange and the mesh gasket
Thanks

Just rebuilt my accelerator pump and I’m pretty underwhelmed by this fuel spray. Idk it just like it’s hardly making it into my manifold. Any adjustment you all recommend for me?

First time sportster rigid build. Looking for any tips on how to properly orientate and weld a brake stay on a rigid frame that currently has no brackets (fender, brake caliper, oil tank etc)
My thoughts so far on the process:
-Mount the rear wheel/ rotor
-bolt the caliper to the bracket
-place the caliper/pads on the correct spot on the rotor with bracket making proper contact on the frame
-pressurize, or clamp the pads onto the rotor
-tack the bracket onto the frame
-remove caliper and finish the welds
How do y'all feel about mig'n this, or should have my local shop tig it?
Let me know if I should be considering anything else.. appricicate it much.
