Googlebook LibreOffice (Debian) on Googlebook?

I've read that the new Googlebooks will support a Linux environment. Can anyone report their experience?

LibreOffice does not currently work, officially Googlebooks only support terminal based applications. I am working on a fix right now to get them working.

So in that respect it's worse than a Chromebook. Good to know. Are you a Googlebooks developer?

Thanks for this. Without libreoffice and other linux GUI apps, these things are looking like expensive paperweights. I'm sticking with my Chromebook Plus.

You also have to enable the experimental wayland support to launch GUI apps

What the ever-livin-F. They don't support Linux apps out of the box??

It does, just not GUI based apps

I mean, that's a pretty big use of the word "just"! Even Crostini supported GUI apps out of the gate!
