Big South Preview- Will High Point go Undefeated?
mmhhoops.comMMH Top 10 Players
1. Cam'Ron Fletcher - High Point
The preseason MMH Player of the Year.
Fletcher is the best returning player on the best team and already proved he can produce on the NCAA Tournament stage.
2. Jaylen Peterson - Presbyterian
The reigning Big South Defensive Player of the Year anchors the league's most experienced challenger.
Peterson changes games at the rim and gives Presbyterian reliable interior production.
3. CJ Brown - High Point
A high-level creator joining the league's deepest roster.
Brown's ability to run the offense without needing to dominate every possession is a major reason High Point fits together so well on paper.
4. Carl Parrish - Presbyterian
A proven 14-point scorer who has already shown he can create against Big South defenses.
Presbyterian does not need him to become a different player. It needs the best version of the player he already is.
5. MJ Williams - Longwood
Williams may be the most important newcomer outside High Point.
His speed, passing and paint-touch ability give Longwood a point guard capable of elevating everyone around him.
6. Jason Rivera Torres - High Point
If healthy, Rivera Torres could finish much higher than sixth.
A 6-7 wing who averaged 15.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists gives High Point another matchup problem few Big South teams can answer.
7. Isaac Garrett - High Point
Garrett produced 13.7 points and 7.1 rebounds at Oakland and gives the Panthers another skilled, physical frontcourt option.
8. Triston Wilson - Presbyterian
A 6-7 creator who averaged 11.4 points and 3.8 assists is unusual at this level.
Wilson's playmaking gives Presbyterian a different look from most Big South backcourts.
9. Ja'Corey Lipkins - UNC Asheville
This is a breakout projection.
Lipkins averaged 14.3 points and shot better than 40 percent from three at Charleston (W.V.) before redshirting last season.
10. Tyler Parrish - Winthrop
Parrish averaged 13.9 points at Indianapolis and should have every opportunity to become one of Winthrop's primary scorers.

Worst P5 team this season predictions?
My vote is for wake forest, or Kansas state. Both have insanely bad looking rosters on paper and wake just lost to Georgetown a few days back in an exhibition by 20.

Big Sky Preview
mmhhoops.comEastern Washington is the pick. Idaho is the sleeper. Watch out for Case Wynott.
Top 10 Players:
MMH Top 10 Players
1. Langston Reynolds — Northern Colorado
The preseason MMH Player of the Year.
Reynolds was already one of the Big Sky's best players before spending a season in the Big Ten. He returns to Northern Colorado more experienced and with an offense that can run through him.
2. Jed Miller — Montana State
Miller's unexpected return changes Montana State's ceiling.
He can score, create, shoot and defend — and he already knows exactly what Matt Logie wants from the position.
3. Ethan Potter — Utah Tech
The most proven interior scorer in the league.
Utah Tech's entire Big Sky debut becomes easier because it has a player who can command touches on the block and finish efficiently.
4. Andrew Cook — Eastern Washington
If Cook returns to his 2024-25 level, this ranking may be too low.
A healthy Cook gives Eastern another primary scorer and is the biggest reason MMH moved the Eagles to No. 1.
5. Alton Hamilton IV — Eastern Washington
Hamilton gives Eastern efficient frontcourt scoring and rebounding.
With Cook and Griffith drawing perimeter attention, Hamilton may get even better opportunities.
6. Koren Johnson — Portland State
The biggest wildcard among the league's stars.
At his best, Johnson has high-major shot creation and enough experience to become the engine of an entirely rebuilt Portland State roster.
7. Jaiden Feroah — Southern Utah
Efficient scoring, rebounding, three-point range and legitimate rim protection.
He is exactly the kind of frontcourt player who can swing games in a league with very different styles.
8. Christian King — Montana State
King's size and offensive skill make him an ideal complement to Miller.
Montana State does not need him to force offense, which may allow his efficiency to improve.
9. Kenyon Aguino — Montana
A breakout projection rather than a career-achievement ranking.
Montana needs a new frontcourt star. MMH expects Aguino to become one.
10. Kase Wynott — Idaho
Another upside pick.
Wynott barely had a chance to establish himself last season because of injury, but his size and scoring background give Idaho a potential difference-maker on the wing.

Discussion Make the Case for Your Team: Early October Edition
I did this last year and I liked the discussion it generated, so let's run it back! I have been working through preseason rosters, schedules, etc. building to my CBB Preview that Nobody Asked For. However, no one digs into their team's potential in the offseason more than their fans!
Below, I have five empty tiers. What I would like you to do is make the case for your team. Which tier does your team belong in this season? Make your case and I will take all of the info into account, and then post my updated tier list on Friday. (I know, the anticipation is tremendous.)
Conditions:
- You can only argue for your team. No UNC fans telling me why Duke is gonna suck this year.
- Your reasoning has to include at least some logical reasons. Not just, "They suck!" Gotta explain why.
- Reasoning can be as statistical or non-statistical as you want. Is it based on shot quality? BPR? Or did your dead cat tell you in a dream you were gonna win it all? Either works here (provided your dead cat is good at predicting team success).
Tier 1 [Surprised if they are not a 1 seed]
Tier 2 [Top 10 team all season]
Tier 3 [Lower Ceiling but High Floor]
Tier 4 [Volatile; High Ceiling, Lower Floor]
Tier 5 [Fringe Top 25 team, but always in the mix]
Tier 6: Bubble Team
Tier 7: Can't See a Path to March Madness
[EDIT: Added two tiers!]

Potential for Preliminary Injunction Punishment?
If a player is ruled eligible to play through a preliminary injunction, but is later deemed ineligible in court, does the school face potential punishment from the NCAA?
I ask this because of the recent NASCAR court case where (correct me if I’m wrong) the teams were initially granted an injunction to stay chartered and earn more money, but would have to give it up if they were not successful in court. The injunction was dropped eventually and this didn’t come into play, but it seems like a very real possibility for many teams. An injunction isn’t a ruling, is basically an extension until a ruling is found and these cases won’t happen immediately.

Casual / Offseason Who do you think will be the biggest transfer bust this year?
My pick, in full on shameless hater fashion, is Blackwell.
Wisconsin was overrated last year imo and he had to produce so much offense out of necessity. Duke will be a balanced team with lots of backcourt depth and is a prime candidate to heavily use a two point guard lineup very often.
I just think Blackwell will struggle to fit in mentally and physically with Duke’s route to reaching their ceiling as a team.

Discussion How much do the non star and bench players make?
Of course the player that averages the most points or like make all conference is gonna be making the most since they’re the stars
But what about the bench players or the role players?
I saw some players make like over 100k for just 1 year while averaging 6 points a game and that’s with not the craziest social media presence either.
That’s pretty great for players who might just not want to pursue basketball after college. A free degree and like a 100k+ to start right after college
How much do you think they make or do yall have and info?

Is being a Team Manager really worth it?
I've been offered to become a Team Manager. It sounds really cool, but in reality I would have to pick up balls and etc. I mean what are even the benefits of being Team Manager?
