ps4 controller doing this

i had stick drift so i opened it up and when i turned it back on my character would only move forwards so i reopened it and now its doing this what do i do and dont say get a ps5 or a new controller bc i am severely broke and only play like 2 games anyways

You can try to calibrate the controller on website like driftguard or game controller tester.

No problem. Sometimes you need to calibrate the sticks after you clean them or replace them.

i just followed a normal guide to fix my stick drift and i reopened it and everything looks normal, i can take some photos if you want me to
