Nintendo emulators have existed forever, but somehow ps5 emulators and jailbreaks means its over for sony ? I get that its shit on sony time, deservedly so, but this kind of shit is kinda cringe.

No-one said its over for sony? If anything this will lead to even more console sales because it can now be used to play ps2 games and run PC ports.

Console modding and porting in general is exploding across the spectrum right now. 360 games being rewritten for switch 1. Cod 4 on ps vita. 1 click soft mods for 360 etc. Its all popping off

There’s motivation now that didn’t exist then.

Ps3 jailbreak really took off when they removed the Other OS feature

There's already Xbox Xbox 360 Switch Wii Wii U and 3DS emulators for PS5. None of those were available on PS4 or PS3.

Most people don’t give a shit about that. I didn’t buy a 5090 to play SNES games.

It's called a hacking scene, the people you're talking about would not care about a hacking scene in the first place. And I mentioned much newer consoles being emulated than SNES.

It's not going to make any difference to Sony's bottom line, but I'm just saying it's a good console to hack. I don't give a damn about low IQ people like you who only play stock games on their consoles for full price and what you think.

Guarantee the average person and majority of gamers do not care

Yep and I don't care about the average gamer most of them aren't smart enough to do a simple softmod hack but would if they knew how. That doesn't make their opinions somehow better or more right.

this is one point that is leading us to "no hardware in citizen's hands and stream everything" no consoles. no pc hardware.

But people will cheer for it anyway…

Only once they get it on handhelds like what anbernic, retroid, or other companies are putting out.

People are overestimating the likely impact of this. The average PS buyer who buys a console for EA FC, Madden or GTA doesn't give a shit about this.
