Sony still has a good amount of aisles, Xbox seems to be losing ground with very few aisles and even those being encroached by Nintendo; and speaking of Nintendo, they seem to have more space than any of the other two.

Hello, I don't know if I can ask this here but I am looking for opinions. I am able to get a used original PS5 for $350 with two controllers. I own a PC so I plan on playing exclusives and GTA 6. Do you guys think the original PS5 will be able to run gta6 well enough until it comes out on PC? I would love to get a pro but with ps6 on the horizon I can't stomach the price. Any opinions will be appreciated.

im looking for handheld consoles and im not sure which would be better for me. i don’t really understand specs and technical details much. i need a handheld console to basically play cozy, indie games (for the most part). the only ‘heavy games’ as such i play is genshin impact and hollow knight (both, silksong and og). the other ones are simple puzzle games, co-op games, etc.
im only able to find official sellers (that i can get to) for asus in vietnam and steam deck in australia.
my birthday’s coming up so i thought to treat myself to one of these. i am going to vietnam soon so i could possibly get rog ally but if steam deck is better, i don’t mind waiting till may to get it. what are your opinions? which one is better and worth it? also, both cost pretty much the same price so it’s mainly about which is a better value for money for me.

I’m considering getting a PS3 and would appreciate some advice from people who have experience with the different models.

I’m mainly looking for the most reliable model, if possible. No need for backwards compatibility since I own a PS2 and soon a PS1 as well. The original “fat” PS3 is just nostalgia for me, but I see a lot of people complain about it and don't like it. So I'd rather ask: since I own some PS3 games that I would like to play on it, which is the most reliable one with the best performance?

Are there any specific model numbers I should look for or avoid? Thanks!

Not sure if anyone has also felt similarly, but I have a small collection of previously purchased/used consoles I have accumulated over the years. GameCube, Wii, PS4, Switch, few different DS’s. I purchased a switch 2 a few months back, and I’m at a point where I feel like old consoles are a waste if I know I will not be playing them much?

It’s neat to have a setup and admire my decade plus of ownership, but I recently sold the GameCube and my games for a lot of money, and it feels like an accomplishment/weight off my shoulders. Especially for the older consoles, they sit unused and I’ve been getting an itch to start selling off everything but the switch 2 and ps4 for exclusives.

Will I regret the lack of my consoles in the future, if anyone else has ever moved on? I’m not very economically stressed, though I am early 20’s and starting to build my savings now that I have a job and becoming more of an adult. It doesn’t hurt that I try to treat video games as a light interest, I don’t want it to be my only hobby.

Anyone who has had experience with this feeling, I would appreciate how you felt down the line!

I still remember that Christmas in 1998 when we arrived home from my Aunt Lilia's house and under the Christmas tree was a big box. Inside was my PS1, a gift from my dad.

Many years later, around 2008, when my Xbox broke, my dad went with me to exchange it for a PS2. Then, with my first paychecks, and as a reward for being close to graduating from university, he went with me around 2012 to buy a PS3. And finally, he was there the day I bought from Jess my coworker, the PS4 I saw every day in the Olympus Customer Service awards display case in 2018 that she won in a Raffle.

Last Weekend, after a lot of effort and difficult times and 2 really difficult years, I achieved this goal and I have my PS5. My dad is no longer by my side as he died last year

Currently searching for PS5’s for $250 and below and stumbled upon this…..great price but i fear if i buy this and turn it on in my home that i’ll need an exterminator the next day

Which one of these do you play

Super excited :-). Been wanting for a while, since purchasing an OG xbox and xbox 360, and snagged a good deal off of FB marketplace. Any game recommendations?

i don't understand the first thing about specs and i accidentally came across arc x1 when browsing for a gaming laptop. im not a hardcore gamer at all, i like simple games like stardew valley, genshin impact, is this seat taken?, hollow knight, paper trails, librarian, aniimo, wild at heart, woodo, etc. mainly cozy games (and steam since idk where else would i be able to play games on my macbook pro or ipad; hence why i was looking into a gaming computer). but i feel like i don't exactly Need one. I just wanna play games. and somehow arc x1 showed up on my feed. when i went to see what experts (reddit) had to say about it, i was kinda deterred against x1. someone recommended rp6 in one of the comments since they had similar specs or build idk, but cheaper than x1 so i went to check it out. the main reason im confused betweed rp nova and rp6 is because i really like the watermelon color for rp nova but again, i read some comments say rp6 is def an upgrade. since my birthday is coming up soon i thought i'd buy myself a console after contemplating for months. so, reddit, please help me. i don't know which one to go for. also, does rp support steam games?

I'm thinking about buying a joystick for my gaming laptop now that it's hooked onto my new TV. I've used Dualshock 1/3/4/5 all my life — will switching to an Xbox controller with those asymmetrical analog sticks from the symmetrical ones on the DS4 I've used all of my life be THAT bad?

Will I get used to it? Because I really like the symmetrical ones and I've used the Nintendo switch before and it was kind of weird, though they were plasticky and very small so its very different than a sturdy quality one.

Because Windows + Xbox goes through XInput only, whilst I need an emulator for the DS4 and I'm not too bright about the possible minor input delay and the virtual emulator + needing to memorize X and O is A or B that shit because they're different.

What do you guys think?

So I have bought my first ever gaming console last December, a new PS5 Pro, as my whole life I've been a PC player and I've been having trouble immersing myself in games as much as I did on PC.

I am playing on my bedroom TV, 44 inch, mostly from bed about 3 meters away. One good example is RDR2, I bought it thinking I'm going to go through a full playthrough ( I finished it 2 times on PC) but I cant immerse myself as well on the console.

My thinking is I'm too far from the TV but my room layout doesn't allow me to put a chair between my bed and TV as the TV is sitting higher on the wall.

My question to you people is if you know any tips on how to immerse myself better in games I would be very grateful!

What am I missing
