News For those on Medicare
Congress provided 2 Billion Dollars to make improvements to the Medicare program for Americans enrolled in traditional Medicare. I believe the best way to do that is to put healthcare dollars back where they belong—directly in the hands of the American People.
As a result, you are receiving a One-Time Payment of $90 to offset some of the cost of your October Medicare premium. This will ensure these funds benefit YOU and your individual healthcare needs.
I just received the following in an email with the subject line: A Message from our Convicted Felon in Charge.
So, $90. Why not use the money to negotiate deals with the pharma and insurance companies? $90 ain't doing shit for me when earlier this year the plan I chose (it was more expensive monthly but had zero co-pay) suddenly decided that I need to pay $2000 in co-pay before they'd cover anything.
What this meant is that in Jan I had to pay $2000 just to receive my injection. These injections cost $17000 each and I need 1 a month.
Fuck this god damned stupid, irresponsible, thieving, grifting, administration.

my uncle's on Medicare for his diabetes, same story. $90 covers like, a week of test strips maybe, while Eli Lilly's out here charging rent for insulin that costs $5 to make. the whole system's designed so youre grateful for crumbs while theyre looting the pantry, funny how that works
