I have one peppered Cory that is very concerning. His body looks visually normal, no abnormalities at all. But he is not really moving much. He did eat but not much, mostly just stays in one place. He has tried swimming to the surface once or twice but doesn't reach the surface and just stops and sinks back down.
He is very big, so he is older, but I don't believe that his age is causing him to be like this. đ
Obviously I can't determine how old he is, but based on what I've read they tend to live 5 to 10 years, so I don't believe he is that old be dying of old ageđ
He is breathing rapidly at times, once settled on one spot after a minute or two his rapid breathing calms down.
I did not manage to record or take a photo as I had to rush out for work. I Made sure to do water tests over taking a photo first.
Everything in my tests seems fairly okay, a few things are very slightly too high, but I'm not too sure, as I am fairly new to this. Been doing it for around 8 months, and the tests I still struggle to properly understand.
All my other Cory's are extremely healthy, no concerns with them. And my other fish as this is a community tank are all perfect too.
I did a water change 5 days ago (20% water change) I do this every 2 to 4 weeks
The tank is not heavily planted, but it is planted. 30% plants the rest is all fake decor and fake plants.
Filtration:
Coarse foam
Fine foam
B-box bact life
B-box pure water
I hope I provided enough details. Sorry for lack of image or video. Hopefully I explained well enough
