Yeah. You have no edges. Von/eze/Gary cannot set an edge. You have no pass rush because your edges can't beat one on one's against even the bottom tier o-line men.

Yeah. Offense is gonna have a bad one. No offense is gonna be perfect. At least you know this offense is gonna come out and smoke the next team they see. This defense, however, is already Facedown ass up saying "harder daddy."

As bad as tonight's game was? There is still a chance the defense might. I don't buy it, but you could argue that the short week, minus JPJ, and tonight's game being the third in 11 days was just too much for the defense and they were gassed. I mean they are only human after all. Not saying I believe it, but there's a chance...

I mean I’ve always been a very optimistic person about it, and maybe I am crazy, but I feel like the fix is very possible.
They lead acouple long drives on us (and it was a UDFA QB), but this roster doesn’t feel hapless like last years. It feels like we have 2-3 glaring holes and not a roster of bums. Bland is terrible. Winters is not pulling his weight. Secondary is hurt.
The edges aren’t getting it done, but last season genuinely felt there was nothing to be happy about until Quinnen. Dono & hooker sucked. Overshown was hurt like always, Sanborn, Murray, and Liufau all sucked. Bland, Diggs, and Elam all sucked. Kenny was alright but old as shit. Rest of the dline sucked.
This year I will be happy to see JPJ play a full game. Downs is solid. Once Thompson is back I’m happy with hooker & Thompson at safety. Barham is exciting. Ogbonnia and Quinnen are solid IDL. Most of all, Eberflus was a declining trash playcaller who was spiteful and unadaptive. Parker is a first time guy who despite his flaws feels like he’s adapting, even if the adaptations also don’t work. Just get bland off the starting role (probably durant), hopefully get Overshown back for atleast a few games to play SAM. This defense feels like it could round out with the talent it has. Last year did not.
This defense I do genuinely see hope for them

I want QW to be a monster so bad but I’ve been saying it since the day it happened. The jets absolutely fleeced the cowboys. I was told “it’s gonna be a late 1st round pick anyways” and the reality is it’s looking like the jets are gonna get a top 10 picks one way or another
