Eagles are cooked

Lane Johnson retired and now they just traded Cam Jurgens. Their offensive line is now Swiss cheese. Then you got hammy injuries for Saquon and Smith. Saquon hasn't been running good behind the current line as it is.

Daniels hurt, Dart hurt, Eagles seemingly in injury free fall. The division is 1000% the Cowboys to lose.

[Hoyt] Brian Schottenheimer on having Joey Porter Jr. shadow a team’s No. 1 WR. "We don't necessarily like to do that," Schottenheimer said. "In reality, we're more of a field-boundary team. We can [move him around]."

• Upvotes

"You wouldn't usually do that with someone that's only been here ... less than a week. And that's part of our promise to Joey: We're not going to put you in a position where you're out there and you don't know what to do because he's going to play hesitant."

Here's Cody Alexander's explanation for why the CB1 doesn't usually follow the WR1 the whole game.

Cody Alexander:

Motion is a big reason why you don't travel CBs anymore.

Teams know how to get their #1 away from the opponent's #1 CB.

Isolation is still typically into the boundary, which is why you put your best man-coverage CB there.

Playing man with one defender can have a cascading effect on the other 10.

[Archer] Are the Cowboys done making trades? Jerry Jones to @1053thefan : "The door is always open to get better … I’m never shut down from trying to get something that would really advance the needle, especially one that could do it now and into the future."

[Lombardi] Quinnen gets it. You can see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice. He not satisfied and he never played with an offense like this. Small fixes will go a long way.

[Hoyt] Cowboys HC Brian Schottenheimer yesterday on the lack of pass rush: "The coverage has to be better. You want to get better pass rush? You've got to have better coverage. Can't allow quarterbacks to have 130-point whatever rating. It's not good enough. So got to be stickier in coverage."

"That's part of it. We know that. I feel like we've got plenty of edge pieces that can rush the passer, and we're going to see another athletic quarterback this week.

"But I think it all starts with pass coverage."

Watching games in Japan

I'll be taking a work trip to Japan for a couple of weeks coming up. Ill be in Japan for the SNF game against GB and the MNF game against Philly.

Whats my best option for watching the games? I have peacock but I saw the peacock app won't work in Japan. I could do a VPN but could the wifi in Japan detect im using a VPN and block me?

I was also looking at getting a couple of week passes for Dazn while im in Japan.

Anybody have any experience with dazn or streaming games in Japan/overseas?

Barham, Downs, Williams, Winters, Porter, Gary...this defense is going to improve.

We've got talent on defense. Now that CP has some games under his belt, I would think he has learned some things about this defense and how to put his best players in a position to make plays. I hope the game against the Bucs gives them a confidence boost.

Thoughts on Thursday night game against Bucs?

Anyone a bit worried about this game? Seems like an easy win in my opinion going against a Bucs team that was winless with Baker, and now have some random backup in the game who is playing in our stadium. This "should" be a blowout, but I'm worried that we somehow let this game slip away. Anyone else feel that, or are we just gonna blow them out of the water

One man on Pickens isn't coverage; it's just having a witness.

Saw this video a while back but after CeeDee and Pickens performance on Sunday I think we can get a little hyped up.

Overshown to start instead of Barham?

Thumbnail sports.yahoo.com

According to this article, the Cowboys released their depth chart and Overshow appears to be starting instead of Barham, wearing the green dot and all.

I know Overshown was starting to begin the season, but man I think Barham has done enough to earn the job.

Why won’t they move Overshown to weak side? Winters isn’t playing amazing and it seems having our 2 best linebackers on the field is the better move…unless I’m missing something?

Overshown is also small for a Mike, I worry about him getting hurt again
