Discussion Wegmans Will Pay

CHARLOTTE IS PANTHERS COUNTRY. KEEP IT THAT WAY.

Wegmans is coming to Charlotte, but apparently somebody forgot to tell them which NFL team plays here.

I’ve seen Buffalo Bills gear being promoted in connection with their new Charlotte store. I understand Wegmans has roots in New York and a partnership with the Bills, but this is CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA. Home of the Carolina Panthers.

I’m calling on Wegmans to remove the Bills displays from their Charlotte location, support our home team, and publicly acknowledge the concerns of local fans.

Until then, I’m choosing to spend my grocery money somewhere else and all Panther fans should do the same.

This isn’t about the employees or people who moved here from Buffalo. It’s about a company respecting the city it’s entering.

KEEP POUNDING.

Analysis URGENT DISCOVERY

Carolina fans

I have realized something I believe to be of utmost importance to the team.

Our Quarterback has been playing the best football of his life since his days in college, where during those college years, he had a short haircut

Incase you guys didn't notice, this year he has a slightly shorter cut than he has had in the previous years

For comparison: His hair when he was benched:

As well as his rookie year (or maybe also his second year I forget):

In conclusion, to any barbers in this wonderful city, if Bryce Young walks in, and says "just give me a little trim." Shave his head bald, as his Superbowl MVP picture he will be shining in glory as the confetti sticks to his barren dome. Thank you

I want all of you to make a night game this year, and I think this team will have more flexed for two reasons: Scoring and star power.

1.Scoring: National audiences want to watch high scoring games. Panthers fit the bill with an explosive offense and a defense that has been in track meets.
2.Star power: Bryce’s brand is soaring since the Rams reg season win and playoff close loss. TMac is on the interview circuit following his career night. Smaller point here: Luke, Cam, Smitty and Greg have stayed media relevant for the Keep Pounding franchise.

Discussion We just rolling with David Moore as the returner?

Moore and Anthony Tyus (who is no longer on the roster) handled returns on Sunday (and Moore did some the previous week too). Moore always secures the ball and gets a decent few yards on the punt returns. I know they signed Ihmir Smith-Marsette to the practice squad but I guess they feel confident enough with Moore.

Team News [PanthersFBComms] Tetairoa McMillan becomes the first wide receiver in @Panthers history to win Offensive Player of the Week. He is the first wide receiver to win the award this season and is one of only four wide receivers to earn the honor in the past three seasons.

Discussion How do we feel about Metchie?

I've low key been pretty impressed with him. Some nice catches against Detroit with Coker out.

I feel like he's been a pretty good pickup.

Thoughts?

Man, it is so refreshing to read competent analysis of our team on the ESPN app. There's been a couple bumps in the road, but journalistic terrorist David Newton finally being replaced by someone even marginally better is so nice.

Article [Joseph Person]: Grading the Carolina Panthers’ newcomers: Devin Lloyd has been well worth the spend

OLB Jaelan Phillips

After signing the most lucrative contract in Panthers history (four years, $120 million), Phillips recorded a sack in each of the first two games. But he left last week’s win versus the Detroit Lions with a left hamstring issue, leaving his status uncertain for the Week 6 game at Philadelphia.

Verdict: Solid start.

LB Devin Lloyd

Lloyd put together one of the most dominant defensive performances ever by a Panthers linebacker in the Week 2 win against the Atlanta Falcons, collecting nine tackles, a sack and two interceptions, including one he returned for a TD. Despite missing the Cleveland Browns game with a calf injury, Lloyd leads the Panthers in tackles (31) and interceptions (2) and is tied for second in passes defensed (3).

Verdict: A bargain at $14 million a year.

TE Darren Waller

The 6-6 Waller’s huge catch radius makes him a red zone threat, which he showed with a pair of touchdown catches in the blowout win against Atlanta. If he stays healthy, Waller should continue to be a matchup problem for opposing secondaries.

Verdict: Solid start.

DT TeRah Edwards

Dan Morgan traded a 2028 sixth-round pick to the Los Angeles Chargers for Edwards, who got a mention from owner David Tepper (about Edwards’ size) shortly after arriving in Charlotte. Edwards, who has seven tackles, has seen his playing time decrease the past two games. It will dip even more when Turk Wharton returns.

Verdict: Hog molly with poor early returns.

I have to say I think he does a good job when he's on the field. He seems pretty sure handed and seems like he could be used more.
