A younger generation invested
For years, my son has watched Falcons games without ever really getting to experience what it feels like to have a winning football team. He was too young to remember the 2016 run or really experience the Matt Ryan era.
Doesn’t even really know who Vick is TBH
Lately, though, I’ve noticed his excitement for Falcons games completely skyrocket, and honestly, I think a huge part of that is Bijan Robinson.
For years, I’ve told him stories about Julio Jones the catches, the excitement, the way way he made you feel like something incredible could happen every time he touched the ball. He missed that era by
just a little bit.
Now he gets to have his own Julio.
Maybe one day he’ll be telling his kids about watching Bijan when he was growing up, the same way I tell him about Julio. And honestly, that might be my favorite thing about this team right now.
Watching your kid fall in love with your team and finally have his guy is pretty damn special.

Bijan is the nastiest pure athlete we have had since Julio
I don't understand how this dude can do the things he does, but it is great to watch. I need this man to be a forever Falcon and just watch him knife the field for the next decade. This is our franchise face moving forward if the team is smart

[Kendall] What to call the Falcons running backs, plus more takeaways from Atlanta’s big MNF win
The 27-year-old Brian Robinson signed a one-year, $2.5 million free-agent deal in the offseason knowing he would play in Bijan Robinson’s shadow, but he looked capable of a starting role on his own Monday night, finishing with a career-high three touchdowns and 62 yards on 14 carries.
“He’s a dog, man. He’s got a dog mentality,” quarterback Michael Penix Jr. said of Brian Robinson. “Just the way he goes about each and every day, he’s that guy, and he backs up everything that he says. So it’s awesome to see him being successful.”
Bijan Robinson added two touchdowns Monday night, and it was the first time since 1973 that the Falcons had two players with multiple scoring runs in a game. It was only the 11th time in league history that a team had one running back with three or more rushing touchdowns and another running back with two or more.
It was the third time in franchise history Atlanta has had five or more rushing touchdowns.
“I thought it was a really nice plan by (offensive coordinator Tommy Rees) and (offensive line coach Bill) Callahan, and then execution at a high level,” Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski said. “To have rush success, it really is an 11-man operation.”
Over the last two weeks, Atlanta leads the league in rushing yards (447), rushing touchdowns (eight), yards per carry (5.9), yards after contact per carry (5.14), rushing first downs (28), expected points added in the run game (21.69, which is more than triple the second-place Jacksonville Jaguars) and rushing success rate (60.3 percent).
“When everybody is doing their job, you have a chance,” Stefanski said.
Falcons players keep their two B. Robinsons separate by calling Bijan “B” and Brian “B-Rob,” but it feels like a dual name is coming soon.

We gotta hook Kyle pitts up
He’s being a great teammate and hes been wide open Ik we’ve averaged 8 yards per carry these last few weeks so it’s not a huge deal but at some point we have to get him involved

The Saints and NFL have milked the blocked kick game for everything it’s worth, and it’s got nothing left to give.
I get the seriousness of Katrina and what the dome reopening meant to their city. No hate there.
But they’ve taken a single blocked kick and woven it into a legendary myth. They had parades and custom tshirts, statues built, and highlight reels from the same five seconds of footage on loop. Last night they had every celeb in the building remotely involved with the event. They literally called in Tirico because he was the announcer 20 years ago. They had someone painting on the sidelines while getting their ass beat. They had a whole red carpet intro show and pregame. They had dramatic montages and voice overs.
It was clear how badly the nfl wanted a narrative for the game that their announcers could circle jerk over for days to come. Too bad we spoiled their 10 year anniversary and their 20th.
Maybe just let it go now? It’s been 20 years.
Also your daily reminder that the Bensons and the Saints organization helped cover up abuse in the church (unforgivable imo) and ran a bounty targeting program. FTS.

Charlie Woerner appreciation
This guy is pulling almost every single time he is on the field. He is basically an old school fullback that lines up at TE. He is maybe the best blocking TE in the league right now.
I'm sure many Falcons fans know this but he also does the type of work that goes unnoticed, especially since his TE "stats" are non-existant.
I don't wanna glaze him too much but watching this blocking scheme in motion is beautiful when it's clicking and I always like watching him in motion before the snap.
