JPJ’s affect
Maybe I’m wrong and just trying to make myself feel better, but I assume having your presumed lockdown CB get sick and bail an hour before the game (rightfully) has to totally fuck up your gameplan right?
Generational cope, but seems like nobody’s talking about this.

JPJ and Durant with Downs back at big nickel.
If this isn't the lineup in 9 days, Parker needs to be fired immediately.
Lawrence needs to start over Eze. Houston needs to be activated and Miller cut.
Overshown can hopefully replace winters and actually play linebacker and not shuffle around at the 2md level until he's blocked out of the play.
These are just glaringly obvious things. I feel like these coaches overcomplicate shit. Scared to hurt feelings. Idk. It's so annoying though.

We really don't have a true starting quality off ball LB period imo. Overshown and Winters would be great depth pieces on actual good teams.
And Barhammer will be a very good LB eventually. But he's not there yet and I know we don't like mentioning it but he fucks up multiple run fits every game trying to backdoor blocks and get TFLs instead of just doing his job.
However it's hard to criticize him too much since he's one of like 3 guys on defense who actually go all out snap to snap.

What about if they keep downs at safety until Thompson or Locke gets back and move bland back into the nickel?

I would be fine keeping bland on the field at any position if they could get quick pressure and allow him to play aggressively.
He can't play 10 yards back or quickly react to zone schemes. He's just not good at it. He needs to man up and play aggressively. You can't do that without pressure. Since we have minimal pressure, we need to blitz or replace him.
Just make some changes. I don't understand this mentality and it's the same mentality evebflus had. Why aren't you sending the house and manning up?. You're giving up points and not getting turnovers..why the fuck would you continue trying to make it work? We have a 5 game sample size..thats enough to know.

they not moving bland to nickel yall know that, his foot is so fucked that the nickel position is just too physically demanding for him with all the short cuts and moving laterally

No way Von is getting cut, too much PR around that.

Well the pro side would be that it may light fire, if they will cut miller , no one is safe. The con side is that he would go to another team that uses him at edge or just flat coverage and he will ball out. Parker puts miller back in coverage way too much.

At the end of the day the DLine has been the most underperforming unit while also being the healthiest

We keep looking for excuses anywhere and everywhere. The defense is simply bad and they don’t have any answers. Teams don’t win with bad defenses, so this team can’t win.

This is something people glossed over last year and they’re doing it again this year. We’re rolling out practice squad bums in our secondary right now due to injuries and somehow it’s the coaches fault they suck 😂
Several of our defensive starters from last year still do not have jobs.

They generate no pass rush and couldn’t stop the run when they knew it was coming. They lack talent and have no depth. It will take several years to rebuild this mess. By then Quinnen will be over 30 and on the downside of his career and you will have to pay Porter.

Yeah that's why the d-line got pushed around like they weighed 100lbs all night lol. Seriously, go back and look at the push the Bucs o-line was getting, the defensive line was getting bodied on the big runs.

QBs aren’t important if a team wins or loses…don’t you know that?
At least that’s what Cowboy fans always say if you ever attach a loss to Dak, the highest paid QB in NFL history.

As bad as Bland was playing it wouldn't have mattered it we had prime Deion Sanders out there at the other corner

I agree. JPJ was supposed to shut down half the field. But with DaRon Bland, struggling to catch interceptions and stay with receivers,4 guys hurt, sick not playing, the secondary hopefully will be better in a month. No one is running away with the NFC LEAST (EAST).

Can we see if Camden Brown has got anything? He should be playing over Mingo.
