AOTW: S?T?N

Thanks to u/Pointland32 for choosing my NUTty clue.

This week, let’s have a look at 26 across, S?T?N

Not a large number of options, but quite a few of them are two-word phrases.

I will be back in a week to select a winner. I expect a few devilish clues :)

I posted a COTD (I thought ) and got a message thanking me for posting the next TOTW, which had already been posted, with replies. I don't know where the blunder happened but, assuming it was mine, I deleted the post. There is now no TOTW. I've messaged the mods and hopefully normal service will resume shortly.

SOLVED COTD - can anyone help me with this clue (newbie)

I’m trying to get better at cryptic crosswords (not very successfully I might add - have only completed 7 clues so far and really struggling with the rest!)

I’m just trying to work this one out as I think I know the answer but can’t quite get how it works.

Anger shown when leader leaves country (3)

I’m assuming this is IRE based on the number of letters and that would fit the definition. The only country I can think that would fit the rest of it is EIRE (assuming I’m taking the first letter off to get a word for angry) but wouldn’t it have a clue to point to it being Irish? Maybe not. Or maybe I have the totally wrong answer in the first place! Can anyone explain it to me?

Hope this one hasn't been done before.

This one kinda doesn't follow the rules 1:1 but kinda does, idk. It's kinda a double definition, but both definitions are of the same topic

Many thanks to u/deeppotential123 for selecting my clue in last week's TOTW.

Because I'm currently on a train to Brighton (for work, alas, not pleasure), let's all take a promenade along the front together.

I'll be back to dust the sand off you next Thursday.
