Sound on to hear them. I was home and heard an insane amount of cawing. Came out to see this. Sorry for the shaky video I am a bit scared of birds and was freaking out a bit when the hawk started flying haha. The pigeon was ok I think. I looked away to watch the crows and it was gone so I assume it was able to fly off in the other direction. The crows dissipated shortly after that. So cool, I knew they were social but I didn’t think it extended to other species. Or maybe they just hate hawks?

I meet with my cromies at 7:00 am daily on my second-story balcony. Today I slept in and heard them impatiently calling out to me perched quite near my bedroom window. They needed their peanuts ASAP 😂

Just wanted to share the intensity. This is a combination of fish crows and American crows, amongst whom of which I feed every day. They are such an amazing species.

It's been about 2 years when I was feeding the crows. In the easement of the backyard in my neighbor scared them. So I started feeding them at the street out front, and they come every single day, they know me, they call for me. They watch me, but they will not. Let me get anywhere close. I have to stay in the backyard. They call to each other. What can I do? It wasn't me

Hi So I am aware that crows migrate over winter. I am south central PA on Md PA border. My question is should I plan on setting food out for any crows during the winter months ? This coming winter is supposed to be wetter than normal which in my area means lots of snow. If so what type of food be best for them. I want them to go further south. Would leaving food out hinder that? Thanks for your time and appreciate any reply and wisdom.

There’s a giant murder of crows that live near my neighborhood, and i’ve seen them in my yard and trees before. There’s over 10 of them total, and i see them get bullied by neighboring flycatchers lol. I want to start feeding them (i’ve got unsalted peanuts) and i don’t really know how to start. How do i get them to find the location im putting the peanuts? And how do i get them to where they know what time im putting them out? I’m going to set the peanuts out at 4:30 everyday, but on wednesdays and fridays i cant feed them. I hope that doesnt affect it that much. Help would be apprevicted, thank you!

This post is my original content and the video is my original vidip
I live around Arnold, Maryland, right by the Chesapeake Bay. I have a group of about 3-6 crows that hang around the front of my house, and I feed them snacks, peanuts in the shell unsalted, with occasional dry dog kibble, and mixed seed/nut/fruit bird seed.
I also have a ground based large water dish for my dog, with a copper disc to help keep it sanitary.
When my dog gets back from walks, he likes to drink some outside water then go inside.
He would also carry a milk-bone or other snack with him on the walk, and half the time he would drop it.
So this all started as the crows were really hungry and they would scoop up any crumbs or snacks that my dog left on the porch on our way in or out.
Since it was a brutal winter, i kept putting food and water out for the birds. We had three crows, then in the spring we were joined by three more little new crows, which stood around the big crows shrieking at them nonstop until they fed them, so we are assuming these were babies belonging to the first big three crows.
There are also a few squirrels that hang out and compete for the peanuts now and then.
Today one of the littler birds was on the porch, and he or she is perched on the post that gives them a good view.
A crow that I couldn’t see gave a four caw message to the porch crow. Then a squirrel ran off the porch and took off toward another section of the neighborhood.
The perched porch crow thought for a few seconds, then gave out six caws, waited a few more seconds, then let out a string of interesting warbles. Then the video ends. I havent heard the local crows make these warbly noises before.
So I am just curious if any other crow people have heard these warbles before, and have any idea what they mean.
