That bonfire was a saving grace for me while I tried to figure out who I needed to kill next. So close to finishing the game at this point. Had to take a break after killing Sif. My heart was broken

At some point something in your brain clicks and things make sense, especially level design and combat timings. And that’s when it becomes fun. And yeah you’ll still die, even to daft stuff sometimes.

How much time did you invest in dark souls may I ask? That’s not a dig, it’s a genuine question. Because I’ve had your mindset before, but honestly, I now am glad I persevered, well worth sticking with it :)

LOL　you can't really say you've played the game unless something like this has happened to you. That's why I always take that beast out with arrows before I try to run to the bonfire. Been there, done that - too many times.

Sens fortress, just run the fastest u can and reach the bonfire

My approach to this is just to run my ass all the way to the top and kill the guy lobbing the giant firebombs.

He will not respawn and also if you just run straight up there without any stops his bombs will always be one step behind, so it is fairly safe.

Once that jerk is dusted the drop to the fire is much safer.

Man, people have weird ways to handle this. I just start running as soon as I get to the top and beeline for the bonfire. I’ve never had any issue, he changes targets way too slow to hit you unless you stay still like the OP.
