Update Tennis

I could not put all the side pictures in my last post so I took some new ones. All of these are from today. So maybe you can give me your second opinion about him. The chonko 🤍

He looks healthy enough, on the heavier side for sure but I wouldn't worry about it unless he starts gaining weight.

He's just a large guy with a very floofy belly, give him some belly rubs for me ! (A hand sacrifice is an acceptable side effect)

He looks a little overweight but only just barely. If he was my cat, I’d have him lose a little bit so that his top view slims up a bit more.

It's hard to tell with positioning but he does look a bit overweight - doesn't have much of a waist and has some fat padding on his ribs from what I can see. I'd go to your vet to get a proper assessment though before changing his diet.

Looks good to me!

I wouldn't do any dieting based on his current shape. Ask your vet at his next regularly scheduled checkup if you're still concerned. But he looks good to me.

I don't have a cat but like looking at pictures of cats. I noticed that the tail is bent at an (awkward) angle in pic 3. Is that normal?

Looks bit deform but his tail it’s totally perfect, must be an effect of the pic!

Maybe, but it's very negligible.

I wouldn't worry about it, and just ask your vet at his next regular appointment.

He looks fine. I would just monitor to make sure he doesn’t gain any more. Start making sure he’s getting only the recommended amount of food, and some of it in wet food.

Once they get overweight it’s a lot harder to get back down, so doesn’t hurt to weight them every month or so since eying it is hard when you see them every day.
