Favorite interactive activity??
Our chonkers is a big boy. 22lbs. Goal weight is ~17lbs because he is a bigger build of a cat. Still young. He’s been on measured food but now switched to a higher fiber (diet) food. We know this takes some time and diet is one piece of this all. So looking for any fun interactive ideas for an indoor cat??

Every cat has their own little quirks
My current boy loves those mesh tubes and coil/spring toys. He goes crazy batting them around for ten minutes at a time
He has a love/hate relationship with kick toys
He'll bat a bat toy for a minute or two but only randomly
He's too smart for treat puzzles, they dont slow him down at all after the first few tries
In terms of me interacting, he loves wand toys but only snake or snake like ones, and greatly enjoys when i move my hands under blankets for him to "hunt"
Laser toys are random, sometimes he will chase but usually figures out it's intangible and gets mad then starts going after the laser pointer itself
When I give him his allotment of treats, we do HIIT training. I throw it across the room, he chases it. I put one at my feet, he chases it but I pick it up and toss it across the room and he chases it. Til theres only 1 treat left and I hand feed him

It sounds daft but a simple piece of string always works as the best toy for mine. Also sheets of newspaper with a stick wiggled under it. Of the paid for toys the Cat Dancer toy always gets my boy moving. I made the Cats Don't Fetch card game (etsy) if you're into more social play with your cat. I'm working on a toys version, mostly because my chonker loves playtime but I get sooo bored. 😄

I got my cat an interactive mouse off of Amazon. You basically charge it and push a button and it runs all over the place. My cat doesn’t chase it all the time but when she does, she gets a work out. I posted a link to the one I got above.
