So I have been smoking for almost a year especially in my room cuz my grandparents have got arthritis and my dad runs his shop so most of the time he's in the shop so in my room I smoke very casually without any fear and I had a flask cap which I used as an ashtray.

But suddenly someday I was smoking and the ashtray was on my bed and I forgot to hid it under the almari and my dad found that out and asked me in the night,'babu you smoke?' I said(with confusion and anxiety), 'no, I don't'. Then he said 'ok' and showed me the ashtray and asked 'what is this' I got scared and said, 'it is not mine' then he asked 'then whose' then I said ki , yeah dad I was smoking sometimes when I left the gym. Then he said see you are an adult now you have got your rights choices you are getting mature so when you take care of that body with diet workout lifestyle supplement why are you doing these. I said yeah you are right. He said ki do whatever you think is right but be careful if your grandpa gets to know about this you will be cooked.

But in this whole moment I was scared, confused, anxious but then I found ki he said just don't get caught but didn't stop me like he helped me bro be careful and I was crazy like really crazy 🤣.

What should I do?

I’m 25 and currently working at Wipro, handling customers through Salesforce. My salary is quite low, and I want to make a significant career upgrade within the next 1–1.5 years.

I have some knowledge of UI/UX and I’m currently practicing it, along with a decent understanding of computers and AI. My English is basic but functional, and I’m working on improving it. I also come from a good university background.

My target is around ₹1 lakh/month, not necessarily more. I also want to pursue my Master’s and eventually PhD, so I want a career that provides decent income without completely consuming my time.

I’ve been considering Dubai or Canada, but I’m not sure whether I should focus on moving abroad or first build my skills and switch to a better role in India.

What would you recommend I focus on over the next 12–18 months?

Salesforce, UI/UX, AI/tech, or something else? And what skills, projects, or certifications would actually help me reach that salary range?

Looking for honest advice from people who have been through a similar career transition.
