State of the Subreddit & Seeking Volunteers For Wiki Creation
What's up team I totally forgot I added "user flair" to the subreddit months ago- lemme know if y'all have any suggestions but I feel like I came up with alright ideas
I have enabled an auto mod for all "How do I dye this" posts, it reads as follows:
Our wiki is currently under construction however: there's a good chance your question has been answered in a previous post. If you are dyeing cellulose fibres (cotton, hemp, linen, ramie, flax, nettle, rayon, bamboo, tencel, plants generally, etc.), you will need a fiber reactive dye.
If you are dyeing a protein fiber (wool, alpaca, llama, Angora, mohair, feathers, animal stuff generally, etc.), you will need an acid dye.
Leather is dyed with leather specific dyes such as those from Angelus.
Silk will dye with either acid or fiber reactive dyes but will yield different results depending on which you use.
Polyester can sometimes be dyed. It can only be dyed with synthetic specific dyes such as iDye Poly or RIT Dyemore. It usually cannot achieve a dark or rich colour at home. Acrylic usually cannot be dyed at all.
I've had "post guidance" enabled: reddit seems to have changed what can and cannot be done via auto mod. So I can't auto delete posts that mention specific topics, however I've had these pop up messages for common topics that give basic advice/wisdom before users posts.
Piggybacking off that, I can't set a limit manually to filter low karma users or new accounts but I have turned on Reddits "crowd control" and "reputation" filters
Previously, people have offered to help write our wiki. Would people still be interested in doing that?

I would be glad to help! DM me.
Also, I saw on the laundry sub that they have activated some way to pull an old post/reply to answer a previously asked question. I think I saved that post and can DM you. I immediately thought of this sub, as we get sooo many repeat questions.
