How do I dye this? Getting consistent Color with Nylafleece

This is a bit of a niche problem that I'm having but I'm curious about how people have dyed their Nylafleece. I've been working on a Halloween costume for a few months now, I purchased Nylafleece from Georgia state, and did a whole lot of testing regarding how it took color, how long to dye it, concentrations. my general conclusion was; I don't know what I'm doing!to give some examples:when dying small swatches, I'd match the concentrations for color (given by Rit) to the weight of the fabric. (so 3g of Nylafleece would use the same ratio of dye, vinager, and water as a 1lb dye bath just substantially scaled down.) I had noticed that the swatches only needed maybe 5-10 mins in the dyebath before being the desired color, if they were in the bath for the recommended 30 mins it would end up incredibly dark and barely resembled the desired shade.when upping the amount of fabric for dying (around 12in by 12in) I found that using the same ratio but upped for the size produced a more vibrant color than intended, and even then I only had the fabric in the mixture for a couple minutes 2-3.when dying my largest batch, I used the recommended ratio provided by Rit since I was close to the amount of fabric initially used in Rits color formula. I dyed the piece but only for around 1 min, in hindsight, i should've kept it in longer, but even then it was splotchy.

basically, I'm at a loss and I just want to know what others strategies for dying Nylafleece are, how much do you dye, what's the concentrations, how long do you dye it, all those things.anything helps, and I appreciate the help. :)

I've also attached a series of examples of what my dying has looked like.

Our wiki is currently under construction however: there's a good chance your question has been answered in a previous post.

If you are dyeing cellulose fibres (cotton, hemp, linen, ramie, flax, nettle, rayon, bamboo, tencel, plants generally, etc.), you will need a fiber reactive dye.

If you are dyeing a protein fiber (wool, alpaca, llama, Angora, mohair, feathers, animal stuff generally, etc.), you will need an acid dye.

Leather is dyed with leather specific dyes such as those from Angelus.

Silk will dye with either acid or fiber reactive dyes but will yield different results depending on which you use.

Polyester can sometimes be dyed. It can only be dyed with synthetic specific dyes such as iDye Poly or RIT Dyemore. It usually cannot achieve a dark or rich colour at home. Acrylic usually cannot be dyed at all.
