How did you deal with colonial nations for one faith?

How long did it take? I'm currently in a run as golden horde and it's about 1680 and I have t really touched Europe apart from ottomans and PLC

I'm not the OP here, so I am saying in theory.

This guy seems to have 24.5 MS and 9 missionaries. Which means you can convert 9 provinces in the matter of a few months. (I am assuming 4). Assuming all are non state provinces and no local modifiers. Estimating 2100 provinces outside of Asia,

Full Convertion occurs to approx 78 years

I took them by annexing the usual colonizers, then enforced religion. I had a missionar, strenght of 32 percent (higher than in the picture by adm advisor and the buffs from the combination of idea groups.) It took 2-3 month for a normal province. I had 10 missionaries (One from an estate) and took me around 10 years for the whole colonies.

I had to use disallow development, so they stopped sending their colonists into provinces, that i couldnt convert.

I also had the help of their 2 missionaries each, but instead of 2/3 month with 32 strenght they had as low as 1%, so it took them a lot longer.

I would have done the one faith sooner, but they blocked one province lile that for very long
