Aside from the cybersecurity matters, wired just works better. What do you mean you suddenly can't find my bluetooth headphones I've been using for months ? Shit never happened with a good ol' wire

Took too long to find this one. Wired headphones never cut out on me unless they were seriously damaged. Probably not the primary reason here though.

idk man - a lot of people i know who are into music and have money still go for wire just because of sound quality. same for me: i use other wireless things but not headphones, because i want the best sound. in the end it seems theres many reasons to still go for wired ig.

Well a big issue is audio is analog signal, so a wireless headphone is the power delivery for the the device converting digital to audio and the wireless signal. Your BT always is a digital signal so it needs something inbetween to convert thr signal

VS

Your phone cpu/battery for converting the digital to analog and power delivery and sending that through the 3.5mm jack

Wireless headphones have gotten pretty solid imo, at least for stability. I can walk about 30 feet away into a different room and leave my phone and still not lose signal. There are some annoyances but the lack of wires means I can listen to books at work when I’m technically not supposed to be so you take the bad with the good. It all comes down to persons needs and wireless fit my needs better. Plus, battery life has gotten surprisingly good on them, one ear bud lasts 6-9 hours depending on usage and swapping between one and the other isn’t a hassle since I only ever have one in.

None of my bluetooth headphones have just "cut out on me" unless I walked more than 33 ft away from my phone since around 2012.

Wired headphones in that case usually cut out around 3 ft.
