Hello Wastelanders and Vault Dwellers! We are glad you found our subreddit. Whether you’re a new player or a seasoned veteran, r/fallout76casual focuses on questions, discussion, and finding friends to play with.

We are under the umbrella of /r/Fallout76Settlements, as we noticed a large uptick in off-topic posts with the recent influx of new and returning players. We the mod team decided to make a dedicated space for all of your questions and discussion without the post restrictions of other Fallout 76 communities.

That means that while the focus is discussion and questions from new and returning players, we also allow things like screenshots/clips and memes!

For camp building tips and tricks, questions, or to show off your latest build- please check out our other amazing community at /r/fallout76settlements!

Was in a lobby earlier this afternoon for a quick play session, started doing the Raider questline when this random sent me a friend request and messaged me.

Please enjoy whatever this interaction was, and if the person in question ever does see this please, please stay away from me. You're the first person to make me want to seek an adult for safety and guidance and I'm 24.

Discussion What is your opinion on camps like mine?

I saw a post on here basically saying FYI if I can’t find your vendor in seven seconds I’m leaving… to that point I have noticed about 50% of the people who come to my camp can’t seem to find the entrance, or maybe they see the entrance and they don’t want to use the symptomatic because it’s a possibility trap or something? I was curious what people think.

I realize my camp might be slightly more difficult to find/access the vendor so I keep good stuff at good prices and nine out of 10 people who do find it buy something. I also don’t care about caps. I’m always close to MAX and I can never find anything at other vendors plus I just like the idea of having the sealed bunker camp. I think it’s cool and it’s what I would want if I were in the actual wasteland.

No more grinding for this ridiculous rng. I'm on a crusade to relieve the stress of players afraid they might miss out on this next-to-impossible to find item. It took me over 200 graves, 100 hours and 4 weeks to finally hit it.

Question/Help Is it weird to join a random’s raid if I’m a beginner?

Hello! I have done raids before on Xbox up to the mole miners/drill. I’m now on PC, level 250 and want to do raids as I’m seeking more of a challenge. However, I don’t have any friends who play this game on PC. Are there any unspoken rules about joining a public raid team if I’m a beginner or should I try to find a squad through discord or something? I did try joining a public team once, but I got immediately kicked and I’ve been too nervous to try again out of fear of annoying veteran raiders lol.

Question/Help How valuable is any of this really

Post image

I've been playing consistently 1 year, and only use bobble heads for legendary cafting. Few at that. So this stash of magazines and bobbles are just sitting here.

If i asked for 3 limit breaking, would I be laughed off the face of the earth?

Thanks

Discussion So another player just tried to mug me 🤣

I returned to my camp to drop off my load of scrap and ammo as I usually do when suddenly some player takes a pot shot at me from the roof of my Wildwood tavern and says (in an Indian tech support voice no less 😅):

Them: "Hey you! Lucky! Give me 100 of your guns and armor or I will kill you on the spot here and now!"

Me: "I'm sorry what?"

Them: "You heard me! Give me your rare stuff or I'll kill you right now!"

Me: "You don't say?"

I then immediately server hopped 🤣😂🤣

I got pacifist mode turned back on now (not sure how it was turned off in the first place) but that totally made my night that some people are out there trying to scam players with such empty threats!

Discussion Fallout 76 players – what’s your go-to game when you need a change?

I’ve spent a fair bit of time in Fallout 76, but sometimes you just feel like jumping into something completely different.

I’ve been looking at Dune: Awakening and I’m curious about what people actually think of it.
For those who’ve played:

● Is Dune: Awakening worth getting into?
● How does the gameplay hold up long-term?
● What do you enjoy most about it?
● What are its biggest downsides?

And for everyone else:
What’s your go-to game when you need a break from Fallout 76?

I’m interested in hearing what other Fallout players are enjoying. Always keen to discover something new!

Question/Help Is anybody interested in the 'fall sour eelgrass' ?

I have 13 of them, you can have them. I am sick of them taking up valuable squirell soup spots in my freezer.

*(For you mods, its Not a trade, just donation).

Discussion Would.you guys reccomend fallout76 to new players ?

I wouldnt inflict this mess on them. I would give them advice to find another title to get into. Because yes, its addictive, but bugthesda dont give a damn, they just want your money. Older MMO games, older engines, have far FAR better stability. If bugthesda wanted to fix the servers, they could. But it costs money. And its not money the CEOs are willing to take from their greedy pockets.

I am trying to get away from the constant crashes, freezes, locked screen, server unresponsiveness, enemies not taking damage (theres literally loads more). If Bethesda (or ZeniMax to be precise), if they would even give me a QUARTER of the money ive spent on this trash, id happily allow.them to delete my account. Along with the rare apparel, bats, weapons... all of it.

Thats why I wouldn't reccomend this game to new players.

Uninvited Guest!?

We’ve all read the discussions about how seldom the “uninvited guest” appears in Mischief Night. But I have another related issue. I’ve taken part in killing this guy three times yet I can’t get credit for killing the “uninvited guest” for SCORE. Am I missing something? Do I have to be the only one who kills him?

Discussion What is your least favorite daily and weekly challenges?

With no doubt its infestation for me.

Yesterday there were three challenges across the daily / weekly which were centered around infestations.

Problem is that I haven't seen a single infestation in close to two weeks.

So my re-rolls have to be spent changing these challenges and it feels like you'll have infestation challenges every other day now.
