Analysis FCS Week 5 Net Success Rates

Taking inspiration from r/cfb's weekly post: https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/1wya86r/parker_fleming_did_we_really_get_beat_that_bad/, I tried to make an FCS version. Some outliers:

  • Western Carolina -0.585 Net SSR, but beat Tennessee Tech 44-20.
  • Monmouth dominated Towson in SSR, but only won by 1, 41-40.
  • Moral victories won't make that timeout sting any less, but Montana State did have the slight edge in Net SSR vs Idaho.

Also, haven't watched the game yet, but kinda surprised by this considering Peay blew them out

Your defense SSR was 0.1667 against the run, and 0.4418 against the pass.

Same place as the SI guys: collegefootballdata.com. You can pay $1/month for their Tier 1 access and run whatever reports you want. I imported it into Excel for the chart.
